Selecting Input Sekiro
To use a controller with Sekiro I have to unplug my keyboard first. Is there anyway to get the controller selected without unplugging the keyboard?

You should not have to do anything special, but seems there are some quirks about input on Wayland (been experiencing some odd behavior in my system myself), but certainly not regarding games not detecting or picking the right control scheme. Maybe further information would help, such as distribution, DE, windowing system, etc

If I launch certain games on Wayland before pausing any audio playing elsewhere, the game's audio will be corrupted.

I suspect that Wayland follows an unusual protocol when determining which devices to use and has a hard time negotiating with other programs that are possibly vying for exclusivity.

For sure, I neglected to mention I'm using Manjaro Linux.

My only suggestion in such a case would be to make sure you have the Steam udev rules properly installed. I am unfamiliar with Manjaro, so I am uncertain of the package name.

Does it make a difference if this is the only game I experience this issue in?

My suggestion in that case would be to recreate the game prefix by allowing Steam to erase Proton files, or doing it manually from compatdata/<app_id>

I had to do it for Elden Ring at one point because it would only work with my XBox controller and not my DualSense, could be a similar issue.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried it just now and it didn't do anything. I didn't think it would, I have installed and uninstalled the game multiple times and probably deleted the compatdata folder before at some point. What I tried was deleting the folder, restarting steam, unplugging my keyboard, launching the game (worked with the Dualsense because the keyboard was unplugged), then exiting the game and doing the same thing with the keyboard plugged in. With the keyboard plugged in the Dualsense doesn't control the game, only the keyboard.

Just to be clear, you are using the DS wired? I use mine In BT and have no issues with most games (save for some UE4 ones, especially the Jedi series).

And even then, it should not conflict with the game in any way... what keyboard do you have?

Yes, wired. Bluetooth lags when I try to use it.

It's a Ducky One 3.

This has only happened with Sekiro out of the games I use it with. Nioh and Dark Souls 3 work fine.

This is a strange bug indeed. I wonder how the game would behave if ran under a different prefix, one known to 'work': Idea, copy the prefix of a known working game, rename it to the app_id of Sekiro and move it back to compatdata... My guess would be that it will behave the same, then again, it may not...

Tried that with the Nioh compatdata, didn't do anything.

It's a playstation controller ? It's an xbox controller? Name the controller product. Also try steam input and set it up there to see if there is a difference. You shouldn't have to unplug the keyboard, you just have to move the controller in game.

Can't believe I didn't state what controller. It's a Dualsense. Steam Input is set up. It works fine in other games.
