Tentacle cave

is it normal that the giant tentacle does nothing ? I can just leave the cave by going through the smaller ones without any worries for the giant one ?

The game crashes when you move to another room.

I read the manuals, I have no problems with the DLL, I run the game through the exe file, all drivers are updated, I play in windowed mode at maximum zoom (with the fastest rendering), the game just crashes without any errors. I have not found a way to disable autosave....
