Is your page file enabled?
PS: My version is the GOG one.
Post your PC specs. Run DXDIAG and find them. You need to learn a bit about how a PC works if you plan on playing PC games.
FX 8350
2 HD 7970's 6gb each
1200 W Supernova PSU
H100i
990 FXA UD5
Win 10 64 bit Pro
I only said that in my previous post because I've seen many people around with the same problem (not in the same area though), plus the original campaign of FEAR, and I mean the GOG version which has support for win 10, worked like a charm and never had any sort of crash like that.
Again I ask, what is Page File?
If you don't know what a page file is, you don't know how a PC works.
A page file is what Windows uses to store information that is normally in the memory, if it does not need to be accessed immediately. Some people disable the page file if they have a lot of memory, but you generally shouldn't, as Windows uses is it freqently.
Just Google it.
How much RAM do you have?
Sorry I forgot to mention it, I have 16 gb RAM.
Confirm your page file is enabled, and make sure it's set to automatic.
Wow
2 year old post? Almost three now
Wow
For anyone wanting to play this as much as I did.
The "Out of memory" error crash and supposed crashes we have within the levels, is due to the .exe file that doesn't support more memory. It's an old game that was compatible with Windows XP.
I recently played Condemned Criminal Origins, I think it launched about same year but it has the same framework. For Condemned, I've downloaded the HD Texture pack from Nexus Mods and the guy there posted a link to a 4GB patch, that would patch you're .exe of the game, to be compatible with more memory.
That's when I realized that the tool should also work for Extraction Point. Guess what, it worked.

I guess good games don't die
