VAproxy demo v0.3 is live

This update majorly improved performance, movement, combat and wildlife AI and more listed below:

New Scythe Weapon (Udex Usurper)
New Spear Weapon (Udex Loyalty)
New hacking/Grapple hook (Saint tether)
Old weapons reworked and improved
Better air control and mobility
Camera reworked
New and improved AI for all dynamic machines
Dynamic Machines density and activity is doubled
Menus changed for controller support
Major performance improvement
New training mode
New Enemies and machine types
New Drone Projectiles
All bosses reworked to handle the new combat
New NPCs
Many microadjustments to gameplay/movement of the player and enemies/Bosses
Lots of old Bugs were fixed

Thank you all for waiting, this update was gameplay focused and I hope you can see the improvements.

This game Isn't for you.

There will be no map or quest markers. The combat system is intentionally shrouded in mystery. The game is difficult. If you can't handle it. No idea. Play a modern Sony game or a Ubisoft formula open world game or something. No idea. Animal Crossing.

This demo overhaul all the systems from the previous version and introduce new ones, here some of the noticeable change:

New mercury machines
Scrap can be used as a weapon
Birds have new AI behavior
Scavengers AI and weapons improved
Camera and lock on reworked
drone have multiple new weapons
New NPCs + new dialogues
Executors mini boss have new improved moves and drop items
death warp bugs fixed
performance improved + new performance options
menu reworked
new save slots system
Heal fly glitch patched
blacksmith anvil does damage now
new ending + cutscenes
cutscenes bugs removed
ERI boss fight reworked
Sin boss fight reworked
elevator bugs patched
new shop system
new area and new boss
ladders bugs fixed
new starting items and abilities
new fps independent timer for speed runs
new compass for navigation
new dream mechanic
Bottomless areas respawn fixed

Movement feels awful

honestly just gave up. My time is limited, so I can't waste it on this. Got to the top of the starting area after you get the bot and kept slipping off the edge of the tube, instantly dying in the water. Take a single step in any direction, slip off and die. At one point, I was standing still, panning the camera around to get a look, slipped off the edge back into the tube, fell through the wall and died in the water. Jump feels awful and imprecise. I couldn't even get to the combat, which I'm sure is a lo...

Worth it. Just give yourself about 30-45 minutes to understand this.

Fun and worth my time. Some problems with controller support and maybe some other stuff related to the menu/settings, but other than that I do not mind this kind of games vibe. Looks very retro but fast and fun. Once you understand the game play mechanics I find it a nice challenge to go back to occasionally. The game play itself is very good and you can do some crazy stuff. The game is not freezing or glitching out in battles. Enemies can shoot at you far away providing a nice challenge.
