RE has a goofy plot.
they did make his blood green in the DS version... but not sure if they did that to all the blood
IIRC, Darkside Chronicles also has a flashback that shows Wesker injecting himself with pretty much very syringe he can find in order to survive getting f****d up by the Tyrant in RE1.
Barry dosent die on the original ending (He´s even on Revelations 2) which is like 20 years later.
As fun fact, they alterated the story of Operation Javier. A little bit but it isnt like it was on Darkside Chronicles.
Not only to explore the mansion in 3D, but if you think about it, the original (and the GC remake) had 8 endings, but none of them were canon. Crazy right?
There are no canon endings. The canon ending is Chris, Jill, Rebecca, Barry and Brad coming out alive, but there is no way to get an ending with all these characters leaving together.
Unless you just assume an ending like Chris, Rebecca, Jill and Brad escaping by helicopter implies Barry escaped by himself in some other way before the mansion exploded...
Or the other way around, getting Jill, Chris, Barry and Brad, implies Rebecca escaped by herself.
Regardless, you don't get a conclusive canon ending.
A new remake could fix this and give us a proper ending.
Probably im wrong about it but i kinda i remember it was something related on his inmune system.
Also I think the blood color on the DS version was an option you could change. Probably just Nintendo being aimed more at kids, even though they got the two best RE games of the time on GameCube completely uncut.
In later games, Code Veronica & 5, Wesker absolutely HATES Chris. If Chris was captured in the prison cell the whole time I fail to see why Wesker would blame him for everything.
"CHRIIIIISSSSS!!! I saw you making faces in the security camera!"
But yeah... there isn't exactly a perfect version of the events of RE 1. Even the Umbrella Chronicles version is missing Barry.
IF they decide to remake 1, I'd prefer it if they made it first person like 7 & 8. I think that view would work better for a game almost entirely set in interior locations.
