This game is the real deal. It's got slick movement, beautifully detailed art all throughout, nice ambient music, solid sound design, satisfying combat, and very fun skill upgrades. There's also some sidequests, cute NPCs, and seems like a fair bit of non-linearity in the world design. I'd definitely recommend hard mode for folks experienced with the genre.

This is a great little game that deserves more exposure. I discovered it through the metroidvania subreddit where the dev had posted a trailer. The art style and gameplay shown hooked me instantly. After having finished the game with 100% completion I can confidently say that this counts among my favourite MVs and I will definitely play through it again.

Pros:
-Fast and tight movement
-Satisfying combat with mouse aim (as it should be) rather than lazy cardinal point aiming
-Map system can be upgraded to show exploration items
-Skills galore. Dozens upon dozens of upgrades to movement, survivability, and blasting away enemies
-Cute hand drawn art style a la Hollow Knight
-Story. Didn't care at first, especially with the cheesy title. But by the end I found myself reading through all the logs I had skipped through to find out what I had missed. I started to care for the protagonist.
-Fully customisable controls, thankfully, because that should be a given nowadays which apparently is not.
-Accessible difficulty options for people who don't care for 1000 death souls-likes, but also for people wanting the challenge

Cons:
-Soundtrack is boring. Leaves much to be desired

Nitpicks/bugs:
-While you do have 360 degree aiming, changing your movement direction also changes aiming direction which was frustrating in some instances.
-Wall jump didn't seem to register half the time when attempting to alternate walls.

All in all, a solid experience with great combat yet heavy emphasis on exploration. Worth collecting everything you can if you want to maximise your arsenal. A must have for fans of the genre!

Great, fun metroidvania game! Movement power ups feel good and the exploration is solid. Shooting/combat was fun! Difficulty on normal was just right for me - I died maybe a couple times on bosses before figuring out the pattern. Took me about 14 hours for 100%, enjoyed thoroughly!
