Getting a call from your boy that got webbed will never get old.

Really fun base game, really great idea, but could for sure use some more polish. To be honest, I'm kind of surprised this game never took off and got some extra funding. A few negatives to mention which aren't the worst problems. The game is *almost* there. Seriously, one good, chunky update and it turns into a great game.

-To start, the biggest yet smallest positive for this game is that it just works. I seriously doubt it's "bug free", but I didn't come across any game breaking bugs when I played. The objectives always finished (which is nice because a chunk of them are take a picture of x or y), I was always able to heal, do damage, drive my vehicle, open a door, smash a window, I didn't get stuck in places (I didn't try to though). It's easily worth the ten dollars being charged. Especially because I'm a huge fan of physics based objects, and the ones in this game feel really nice. I don't know how else to explain it, but the physics objects are a huge plus.

-The phones are seriously funny, I really wish more games would implement something like this. Being able to take pictures or video chat somebody while your friend is dying to a spider will not get old. You can send them to individual people or a "group chat" which is basically all chat. Sending texts can be fun too. Being able to 'react' with basic emojis could add to it.

-The base customization is pretty bare bones, but it works super well. I can deal with the small amount of content because bottom line the stuff in the game works, it's just kind of balanced weird. Being able to customize a prison can get funny and because the objects are physics based it makes it better, but I wish you could move the toilets, and the beds are a little tall and a pain to move.

-The objects being physics based is awesome. Push cabinets out of the way, chairs, tables, etc in order to find loot under them. With more items it could be loads of fun, especially if they block enemies. Speaking of which, the enemies will break down doors and even the doors being broken off looks and feels... nice. The game does a great job with the objects and items.

-The driving feels SUPER sharp and it's really off putting at first, but it somehow works pretty well for the game. I think if it was just eased up a little bit it would be perfect. The vehicles feel VERY "Long Drive" esque, in a good way, so personally i think they could use some customization options. I'm honestly unsure if there are any but I think being able to spray paint or hang stuff in your car, especially with the phones, should be possible.

-The combat is mid, but it's whatever. Swing your weapon, stagger the spider with a hit, time it so you swing and hit it again before it hits you. Sometimes you get a gun and honestly the gunplay feels pretty nice so that's something to look forward to.

-Character emotes and animations make the social aspect actually good, and the character customization is great. To put it simply, you can add a picture you choose as your face from your pc files.

-After you get "knocked" a spider will grab your body and drag you off, and your teammates have to chase you. It is absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hilarious. If they don't get to you in time, you get webbed up but can still call them and video chat them. Video chatting from a cocoon or getting a video chat of your buddy getting dragged away is seriously ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ funny.

The game has huge potential, like I said I'm kind of surprised some youtuber or streamer hasn't picked it up and made a good video on it. It has a number of things other similar games don't have, like the phone calls and physics based objects, and they WORK. Even with the negatives I'm going to list, I had quite a bit of fun with only one other person. It for sure gives us laughs, especially when the person dies from unexpected stuff like a landmine while you're in the middle of video chatting. It's really close to being a very good game, I really think more people should give it a shot.

-Before anything, my biggest yet smallest gripe is that you can't see what other people are doing on their phones, it's just a black screen. I think it'd really benefit from being able to peek at your friend's phone to add more social interactions. Maybe it lights up their face for other people to see when they use it.

-I couldn't get very far with one other person I played with, even on easy mode, because of the way the spiders work. Maybe we're just bad and it's supposed to be hard? But it was on easy... Either way, with the way the eating then burping works and how spiders free roam, they will always walk into the cars in the world and set off the alarm, causing more to come running, hitting more cars..... you know. It seemed maybe you are supposed to complete one or two objectives tops before you die and go back to your prison to buy more gear in order to progress further, but we never ended up finishing all of them.

-The game starts you off at the cave, which off instinct you'd think you should go in and loot right? Well in my opinion it's easily the worst part of the looting. It's dark and confusing and has a lot of enemies, and multiple levels. It's not really explained you can open your map and go to a different area right off the bat, however...

-The map is terrible, lol. It's just on your phone and it's a black screen with icons on it that get closer when you drive in that direction. Which, I mean, is fine? But at least explain how to use it and that you can leave right away.

-It seems like there is a lot of "junk" to loot? It's hard to call it junk because it has a use, whether it's for crafting or selling, but there is a *LOT* of stuff to loot and because of that you end up being swarmed by spiders before you finish even two buildings. Items also don't stack too much, if at all, and everything seems to only have one specific use. For example, a rope is just used for climbing down a level in the caves, that I know of, but it doesn't stack, and the caves have multiple levels. That's the ONLY use for it. The ONLY use for the water is to drink, the ONLY use for the crowbar is to open garage doors, stuff like that. I didn't like feeling as rushed as I did, while also having to be picky about the stuff I picked up because of limited inventory space.

-You have to eat what feels like constantly, and when you eat you burp, and when you burp more spiders come, and when more spiders come they hit cars and set off alarms. You seriously have to eat more than one hand's worth of times in a run. If they would just cut the need to eat probably in half, I'd personally be fine with the burping. And, food doesn't stack.

-The ladders and ropes could be better. Getting on them from the top is miserable. I don't think I had any problems being on the ground and getting on one, even when the person I was playing with was going around me on the ladder, but getting back down was always frustrating.

The game feels like a really weird mix between wanting to be slow but having to be fast, being big and filled with enemies, yet empty. Having so much loot yet not enough. As soon as it finds the sweet spot the game will be really fun. For ten dollars? Worth it.
