That was fun! The difficulty was very easy but the game looks and plays excellently.

This game is pretty fun however it's a bit too easy and doesn't have enough variety to it at the moment. At the time of creating the review it's in early access so I will give it that benefit of the doubt, but even so I feel that there's quite a bit needed to be added to the game in order to be worth the price.

Let's start with the good though
The art in the game is absolutely amazing they really captured the heart and charm of all the touhou characters in their own unique way

The character variety is well done as they capture the uniqueness of each character and they all feel different to play, and have their own unique items as well

The bullet patterns when given time to actually be setup is very reminiscent of the touhou shoot em up patterns and this really pops off during the boss fights, but if you're skilled enough or play a couple times you can quickly kill enemies and not even deal with the patterns.

Now let's talk about the unfortunate,

For a roguelike there's not enough variety in items which is a real issue as the charm of the genre is to have unique builds with each run and try new things. However there's not enough items in the games at the moment for the variety of builds or to make each run feel different unless you change characters. My recommendations is too add more unique items, maybe something that can affect bombs or increasing bullet speed. Let you really differentiate your builds. I believe the developers should be able to do this with the passive items they create for each character, but there's just not enough in the game itself at the moment.

Another issue in the game is that it's way too easy at the moment. The developers do a good design with the bullets patterns however the enemies are simply way too weak that we are never able to see the patterns unless you're playing poorly on purpose. Enemy variety is also very small as well as you'll most likely see all of them in a single run. Adding different room layouts would add challenge to the game as well, as you have to figure out where to position yourself.

My recommendations to the devs to improve the game is to add much more variety in the items enemies, room layouts and maybe add more enemies per room.

The game is still pretty fun but at the moment for both the price and length it's hard to recommend the game
