Steam Deck no longer showing the battery icon on the top of the screen
Just received it yesterday, got a software update overnight, but now I'm having strange shutdowns and such, and the battery icon no long appears at the top of the screen. But generally it works okay. I've tried looking for additional updates (I'm up to date) and I've restarted, but this appears to be something unique as I've never seen anything that would make the battery icon go away.

Any suggestions?

If this started after an update, something you can try is loading a previous version:

Power the Deck down. Then press POWER+ QAM (QAM is quick access menu with three dots on the right) which should display a menu allowing to load a previous system backup. Try loading the the previous system version.

It will still update again (eventually) but usually reapplying the update fixes it.

That's perfect. I tried your suggestion and it worked. Weird bug, but at least this time when I accepted the update (as an experiment) it didn't have the issue.

I really appreciate the help.
