Hey folks, Recently got a steam deck (great device) and the steam docking station (should be nice, it is a rather fiddly thing). When connecting the deck to the dock in gaming mode, both the screen on the deck and monitor remain black. Dis- and reconnecting the usb-c connector and rebooting (sometimes multiple times) eventually solves the problem. It's hardly a fluid experience. Am I doing something wrong, or is this expected behaviour. If so, a firmware update would be very welcome....

Even if it is only a 1600x900 screen, the next deck should go 16:9. Since docking is a huge feature of the deck, and most people are connecting them to TVs, it would make more sense for the deck screen's aspect ratio to match a TV's.

Had put my steam deck away for a year, and when I got it out, had to fully charge it as the battery almost completely drained, despite powered off. Firstly, Steam Input and layout customization has improved my gaming experience ten fold. There is so much depth to it that making a custom layout becomes half of the game for me sometimes. Valve forces updates into games, there's no option to reject changes to games and play what was already paid for. When a game flags for an update, you can't play the game as-it-was (even if you go offline), you *must* accept the update no-matter-what (even blatantly unnecessary changes to games years after-the-fact).
