Still, you shouldn't play a game that you really don't want to play, no matter how important it is for the continuity. Ultimately, playing games is about having fun, not about doing it 'right', so make the choice that makes you happy and don't worry too much about what others say. ;-)
There's no reason to become so condescending either for simply questioning your suggestion. At no point did I ramble or seek after your drama filled response. My bad for assuming you could respond without getting emotional about being questioned.
Nor did I say anything about not liking CLE's port. I simply stated the likely fact that by the time they played multiple hundred plus hour games, the next game would likely be out.
I will admit I didn't see the word "after" in "get crimson sin after." So that's my bad for misreading and thinking you were suggesting to play Daybreak 2 without Daybreak 1 initially.
At no point did I try to stop anyone from recommending anything. Last I checked this is a place for discussions. Didn't realize you'd get so emotional because I asked a few questions of you. You're more than welcome to simply not respond if you had a problem rather than chose to be condescending about it and act like I did something I did not.
Why? Well, DB2 had just gone on a massive sale, and I knew DB1 would be getting its official localisation in a few months, so there was no point in getting the Japanese version instead of waiting. I bought DB2 while on its sale and got impatient at the Trails game in my library which I couldn't yet play (and I thought I was burnt out on Trails).
I'd heard that it was a very standalpne game, so, with a combination of cheap prices, childish impatience and this information. I played DB2 first.
There was a cutscene right at the beginning which I could see was recapping the previous game and I quickly skipped it as soon as I saw what it was doing. But after that... pretty much nothing specific about the first game was revealed. Even after playing the sequel, I'm still playing DB1 80% blind.
I don't recommend anyone else do what I did of course. I just did the irrational action of someone who couldn't wait. But it was definitely different. Especially as I played all the games in order from Sky FC to CS4.
