I have never posted a review of a game before, even for those I loved or hated, but for this game it seemed absolutely necessary.
This game is ridiculously fun and I am completely blown away by the wonderful QOL choices the developer has made. I'm a huge fan of resource management and automation type games. I loved Forager and Don't Starve and I get vibes of both in this game. But a lot of games in these genres have mechanics that can feel grindy or cumbersome, and Nova Lands seems to have a remedy for all of them. The pacing is superb and there are very few bottlenecks where it feels like you aren't making progress. The relic progression for making mechanics even more user friendly feels very rewarding. There are many elements of the game that are unlocked gradually and every time it is super exciting to work in the new aspect of gameplay. Also, for an automation sim, they have done a phenomenal job of not making you feel locked in to your original setup, and rebuilding/rearranging your layout to be more efficient always feels very doable.
Overall, I cannot recommend this game enough as it is so very fun and satisfying to play.

Very simple, but fun resource management sim. Has the right level of exploration and mystery. The talent trees keep you motivated to keep going.
