Red Dead Online

Unknown error ffff when using campfire
Hello at all

I had paused playing Red Dead Online for a while and now I wanted to have a look back and play again a little.
I now have the problem that I get the "unknown error ffff" whenever I want to use my wilderness campfire.
Apart from that I don't have any further problems so far.

Is there any solution to fix this error?
I already updated my gpu drivers and I still have this problem.

My pc has the following stats in case it is necessary:
AMD Ryzen 7 5700X
Geforce RTX 4070
32 GB RAM
Windows 11 Home

As I mentioned above I always get this error when I want to use my wilderness campfire.
Thanks at all in advance for all helpful replies.

Hallo,

You can try playing in a private lobby; it should solve your "f" errors. The guide below will show you how to easily set it up. Remember to clear your game's cache.

Those errors, along with others, are typically caused by being in the same lobby as cheaters.

If you have a frame-rate limiter, you should also set that to match with your monitor's. Opening the campfire can allow a spike on frame rates and might cause issue on some systems.

Let us know how it works, and please mark this as "answered" if it solved your issue, so that others with similar errors could find the solution quicker😊

Clearing your game's cache:

C:\Users\Your PC's Name\Documents\Rockstar Games\Red Dead Redemption 2\Settings

You can safely delete all files except "system.xml" (that's your video settings).
