So it's not TERRIBLE for a musuo/ dynasty warriors game. Game play is easy to grasp, the conquering system is actually well rounded, and appearance wise it actually looks pretty good. However. What this game lacks is a great many things to really consider it even close to a 5/10. I won't list the pros because it isn't that big of a list to warrant typing it out.

Cons:
- Lack of English Dub
This isn't a HUGE problem but it becomes annoying that I can't hear and feel the emotion these characters are portraying when I have to read what they say. It is ironic that the game's voice audio is Japanese rather than Chinese lol. Still this isn't something I'm super upset about but the lack of differing dub languages seems lazy.

- 1 action per month
The way the game works is every month in game you have options of what can be done to ensure the territories you've acquired are taken car of either through military, agriculture, officer relations, and so on. What's considered a con is that you can only choose 1 thing to work on per month. It makes no sense that you have all of these officers and yet you can't order them to do this or that. Technically you get 4 points to shift their focus on a certain thing but even still that's only IF they even do anything in the first place. Allowing more freedom to give orders, and even decide what officers should be doing personally rather than when they feel like it is needed in a game like this.

- Overused voice lines/ lack of unique lines
I was really surprised that with the regular Dynasty series you have moments where playing a certain character allows unique and or personal lines between other characters. EX: Xiahou Dun and Cao Cao. You would think these two have unique things to say to one another yet everything is the exact same copy and paste line they would say to anyone. It really sucks the fun out of recruiting officers you like because now they feel lifeless. You might get some lines here and there during a battle but even still it reminds me of an action figure with only a few lines that they repeat over and over again. I would have liked to see more put into the dialogue as well as adding lines to the majority of characters. Again having say Xiahou Dun say something specific to those in Wei or about how he knows them or of them. Even having him acknowledge the fact that he doesn't know them but recognizes them to be of the same faction.

- Lack of character creation content
One of the selling points of the Empires series is the fact that you get to create a custom officer to use in the game. Which is a cool idea as it adds that itch people get with immersing in the game. What's not cool is when the options to create a character are simply some of the most boring and lackluster options to use. It just seems silly to have it be an option when its basically trying to create a side character or a main character. Even the addon content is meh as most of it doesn't really fit with any of the factions in the first place. What would have made this better is the ability to use outfits, armor, etc. from established characters since most of the non battle clothing is the same just reskinned. Even adding what faction(s) they get along with or can't stand.

There are definitley more but I feel these 3 are the easiest to identify and use to make my point. It almost feels like it's half of the game they were intending. Yet as I've noticed with Koei in recent years is that they simply don't put forth the effort anymore outside of the bare minimum. All in all this is a 5/10 score. If you really want to try it out then I think you will enjoy the fighting aspect and the conquering game play. But otherwise this game is not worth full price.
