About Romances ! (contains spoilers)
Hello everyone I would like to know if I can romance Cortez (Mass Effect 3) even if I romanced Jack in the previous game. I did her mission at the beginning of the game and now that the Citadel has been attacked I found her at the Purgatory and she literally proposes to ed our relaitonship. If I do this will I be able to romance Cortez ?
I read a few things about how the love system works in the games but ti's a little confusing.

It's been a long time, but I'm 99% sure you can switch romances between games. The games even acknowledge it if you do so. At the very least Ashley and Liara have dialog dedicated to you switching love interests.

Not sure if every party member has dialog like that though. I've been 100% Tali romance since ME2 first came out, and yes, that means no romance at all in ME1.

Thank you I'll see for Kaidan too then ! I decided to try anyway. Less than an hour after my message I left Jack and Cortez literally spawned in front of the bar and I was able to start soemthing with him. He did say "let's go to the Normandy" but ofc I had 3 other characters that wanted to talk to me in my quarters. I never had the option to call him but I'll start the game again right now maybe a little mission will help.
It's just a side character that dumps the far-left politics on you. You can't interact with it, it only exists in cutscenes. If you need that stuff, go play Failguard.

..."dumps"? That's completely untrue. Cortez was an example of a more tasteful way to represent a gay character considering his sexuality doesn't define his entire personality.

I also hate the way modern bioware does things but it's ridiculous to say that it's "far-left" to have a single gay character in a game with such a diverse interpretation of the future as the MassEffect trilogy.

Spreading rhetoric like that is exactly the kind of thing that impedes rational discussion and gives the real far-left a free ticket to shutdown anyone who disagrees with them as bigots.
You just get dumpet into a non-optional cutscene where it says "ürmühgürd, I have a husband". Freddie Mercury never did that.
