War on the Sea

Don’t see, don’t hear, don’t react
Another baggy effect of base game, which can be observed, for example, in this experiment. AI Furutaka does not see our ship firing at it, nor our reconnaissance aircraft. Therefore, it does nothing, even when the shells hit it.

🙈🙉🙊

This is NOT a bug

The enemy ship simply does not see the New Orleans because of the land mass.

And he simply hasn't spotted the reconnaissance aircraft yet .

I recommend you read the manual, many things are explained in detail there

Ok. Let it be Feature Request & Suggestion.

But do land masses prevent from seeing the fountains of shells exploding around the ship and seeing (and hearing and feeling with whole body) the impacts of these shells on the ship's hull?

Remember how AI ships react to torpedoes being detected. They start MANEUVERING. Although they do not see the submarine that fired these torpedoes. It should be the same here:
– Sir, we are under fire! Bearing 235.
– Full speed ahead, starboard. Lay smoke. Destroyers – heading 270.
– Aye aye sir!

The manual says:

Show Map Intercept – Display an icon on the tactical map to indicate target position lead based on current weapon.

Does this functionality still work?
