Any reticle mod yet?
I am still hoping.

I haven't played this game in like two years. I hate target lock. I find it to be completely the most brain dead design. It's beyond my comprehension why tf they would design a game like this. Especially an open world game that isn't even linear like previous Demon Soul games. And with high expectations. But oh it's target lock like Kingdom Come Deliverance. It's absurd.

Users have considered Elden Ring their favorite game. Even the AI and general combat is quite well implemented. Yet it is simply a disappointment due to the absolute ridiculousness of target locking. Which might be something good for preschool games. Yutes even play Minecraft with no target locking.

This completely nonsensical design is what mostly prevents it from being a nearly a masterpiece. There was zero reason to not design for actual real combat. And maybe it would also better if my 3rd-person character would stay facing forward, and not turn completely around when moving back without a shield up. But even turning completely around can still have fun combat.

I disabled the button for BS target locking when I played this. I got pretty far. It was honestly fun for awhile. Even without a reticle, you can still learn to fight pretty well. I just would prefer to have a reticle persistently there. I could always just tape one on my screen. I don't even use mods unless highly mandatory. But I don't see why it would be difficult to not just have a mod for a basic persistent reticle. Especially when there's many more complicated mods out there.

No, and their won't be. That is not how FromSoftware games work. In any case, Elden Ring is now finished, feature complete, and done. For all intents and purposes, it is now in Maintenance Mode. We'll be lucky if they fix these network and performance issues. :/
bro, have you considered, idk, just not using it?
...what is this critique even

I hate to do this to you but... if it's so easy, why not just make it yourself? Kind of what modding is all about.

It's pretty funny to be fair.
Again though, if it's so easy, and it is truly fixing 'flawed design' within the game, then it would have been done already. This alone screams that you're the odd one out as far as it being bad game design.

Shoutout to the guy confusing personal preference for objective analysis.

Shoutout to standard troll using absolute standard troll method of claiming disagreeing is trolling. Especially when factually many users can disagree and communicate in a constructive manner without being a troll. With with more than enough evidence is what you are even if you completely agreed.

Then do it. And I'll use it if it works.

Then hold inquisitions, and burn anybody at the stake who is telling the truth. Nothing new in modern times as history has proven.

You're the one who wants the thing, so you should mod it in. Especially since you're claiming it's easy to do. Why should anyone else put in the work to do something that only you appear to want?

Better yet, just learn to aim without a reticle.

Either way, this is literally a skill issue on your part, mate.

I obviously have no interest in such a mod and, of course, have even less interest in taking the time to learn the necessary skills and make it for someone else.

If this was seriously the only thing keeping you from playing the game and you think it's a sever oversight, then your options are to either do it yourself or continue asking randoms on the internet for it. I'll leave you to figure out which one is more likely to happen.

That you view gentle chiding over the level of Dunning-Kruger necessary to perceive your preferences as objective fact as "a tantrum" speaks volumes, my guy.

I'm just gonna hazard a guess that the only common denominator in all your problems is the fact that other people aren't as smart as you.
