Aragami 2 Review After 100% Achievements on Steam 🗡️🌑

Aragami 2 brings the stealth-action experience back with a focus on shadow manipulation and ninja-like gameplay. Completing 100% of the achievements feels like mastering the art of silent assassination in a world filled with enemies, challenges, and stunning visuals. While the game has moments of brilliance, it’s held back by repetitive elements and technical issues that keep it from reaching its full potential.

Positives:

Co-op Mode: Playing with friends enhances the experience, making missions more dynamic and fun.

This is probably one of my favourite games. I played the original Aragami back in 2017 and liked it but often found some things frustrating. I know a lot of people are unhappy with the gameplay changes for the sequel but I really liked them. I went back to 100% the original and found myself sorely missing them.

Being able to knock out guards and jump (seriously) make the game feel like you have way more options in how to traverse each level. It made mistakes less painful to fix, like a teleport slightly ahead of where you intended, and caused a lot less frustration for me. It's even more fun in co-op and I feel like there was never a moment where something felt impossible. I also really liked the amount of customisation you can do with your character, from skills to clothing pieces to even the colours.

I am so sad that the studio LinceWorks doesn't exist anymore. I would have loved to see an Aragami 3. If it ever happens it'll be a day one purchase.
