Here is how to fix stutter in game
I found this video yesterday because my game was stuttering. I followed the instructions and now my game is running like butter and looking great with most settings on Ultra at 72 fps on my 1080 ti.

In short put textures to low (they still look the same as ultra pretty much) and limit your fps on an external fps limitier, not v-sync.

Good video.. My GPU was maxing out 7.3 gb ram usage on Original settings. Turning textures to low fixed that and reduced stutter in the benchmark, as shown in the video.

If you play with a KB/M you need to use an external fps limiter and aim to get a steady framerate at all times, for the best experience.

I play with controller as the movement feels odd with the keyboard since I played it on PS4.

Same here, except I didn't play on PS4.

For me, it feels better using a contoller. Maybe it's cause mouse controls in game doesn't have acceleration, or maybe it's cause I'm biased by playing Dark Souls on PS3 for a couple thousand hours?

For sure though, I had to recalibrate my controller in steam big picture mode as the dead-zones were way too high by default.

My post wasnt about controls though? it was about fixing graphical stuttering.

Yeah its something so simple that I thought they would have patched by now. Glad its helped you out.

OK, first off, that's a mere workaround, not a fix. Second off, no, I absolutely refuse to play this on anything lower than console settings. But most importantly, VSync isn't about limiting framerate. How about you learn some basic PC stuff before you go around "helping" people.

vsync literally limits fps to your monitor's refresh rate...

I solved that just deactivating windows update service and reinstalling directX and visual C++ (repair for some versions). My textures are on Ultra.

I my case if windows update service are turned on microsoft store will auto update visual c++ uwp versions and directX that will ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up everything and my game will start stutter.

That's a side effect, not a purpose. The purpose is to eliminate screen tearing.

Moving my game to a SSD eliminated stuttering for me. For console ports, I save space on my SSD and put them on a mechanical HD since that's what they run on the current consoles. But no, this gets stuttering if I run it on the mechanical HD. The SSD works fine.

Edit: I run textures on ultra.

Side Effect? That is literally its primary function.

The effect is due to the frames being limited to the monitors refresh rate (sync'ed), it eliminates the screen tearing.

Its ok if you dont want to turn the textures down. It doesnt make them look any different though and now I have everything else at ultra.

The video did solve my stutter problems thats why I posted it.

I have a 144hz gsync monitor so when I put on vsync to lock at 60fps that would be 144fps for me. I understand how vsync works for screen tearing but I have gsync.

No need to be so horrible when this will help some people.

Its just such a great game and people will be waiting for a fix so yes this is a quick fix for now that works.
