Remember when the Dev said they were gunna release a new game based of this one that was free

Before the update all the items I received went to my Steam Inventory. After the update, however, I have opened cases 6 times and none of the items went to my inventory either in-game or on Steam. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling to see if the update had maybe failed but after opening one case after the reinstall still I got nothing....

I bought this game a little over a month ago and was gonna start today, I was looking forward to play it like an idle game, open it every 2-3 days to spend my points and occasional trade. But I just saw the latest news post and it makes me wonder: What happens to the game after shutdown? Will it continue to work locally, so I can at least still get the stuff I will be missing on my own without trading? Will I be able to unlock all achievments? Or will this be one of those games I will never be able to fini...
