3 from main hand (2 sets + quick reload)
3 from offhand (same deal)
so should be 14 unless they removed offhand death rays or I misremember how quick reload works with scrolls.
Otherwise it should....be right...?
It's less!
They did change off hands, so off hand orb now has infect, not death ray, since 1.0.2
So I believe that would be 11?
I don't believe Overload will be relevant, as it only increases uses per night not uses per turn
But if scrolls also only have 1 use per turn it would 7 uses in one turn
To the best of my knowledge:
- Scrolls are limited to 1 by turn no matter what (even level 5, no quick reload)
- Quick reload is limited to 1 by turn, which means you cannot reload 2 weapon sets
Weapon set 1 + 1 quick reload = 3
Weapon set 2 = 2
Scrolls = 4
I think 9 is the maximum number of DEATH RAYS you can cast in a single turn, which is already impressive, hitting a maximum of 72 targets!
Now THIS is a question that will really test your knowledge.
What's the maximum number of ennemies you can kill with a single Blaze (the 1AP propagation skill from the 1 hand crossbow) ?
- Illimited primary stats, secondary stats, perks
- Perfect conditions and RNG
- No help from outside (boomers, other heros...)
I think I have the answer but you'll see it's rather tricky. And it's A LOT of kills! Good luck.
Using manual targeting for propagation (assuming perfect luck) you can cover pretty much whole square around you with Boom.

36 kills
39?
Same logic as Bumc, but the number of targets is number of bounces +1, which ends up being 3 more kills
Had a look, and apparently yeah, all scrolls except teleportation only have 1 use per turn! I would have sworn that as well as more damage you got more per turn uses on high level scrolls, but it must only be per night uses
So yeah, on the current version of the game it's 9!
To the best of my knowledge, this is the maximal number of kills :
Initial hit + 11 bounces makes 12 targets.
Each target kills 2 extra targets with BOOM!, except the ones at the start and the end of the propagation that can hit 3 extra targets.
That makes 10x3+2x4 = 38 kills !
Not bad for only 1 action point...
Following the same reasoning, quickshot could potentially kill up to 7x5 targets = 35 for a single action point!
BOOM! requires to kill all units in a 3 max range, but I think it should fit?!?
No wonder the 1h crossbow is the best weapon in the game, OP OP!
Yes, there are several obscure interactions when you think about it. For example, I always wonder what happens whit the dodge chance when Blaze is cast in an area with no dodge penalty but ends up killing a runner in a far away area. What dodge penalty is applied? I don't think BOOM! can be dodged though. Regarding Proximity shot, I'm pretty sure only the first Blaze hit counts and is then propagated.
