Glock-18 | Ketsueki Nami (Blood Wave) (CS2)
Could the author please make some improvements?请问作者可以再改进一下吗?
Well, this gun is cool.I think it's very handsome. The highlight of this gun is the color of blood, but maybe the author would like to add a little more gradient to the color of blood?这把枪很酷,我觉得很帅。这把枪的亮点是血的颜色,但也许作者想给血的颜色增加一点梯度?

Thanks a lot for your feedback!

So, I initially designed my skin to use the full RGB range (this let me get colors closer to blood and made the skin more pleasant and less bright), but because of the new engine and physically based rendering (PBR), the acceptable RGB values in CS2 have changed. Now, the effective RGB range for metallic parts of the weapon is between 180-250 (before, it was 0 (black) to 255 (white)). Unfortunately, this stops me from increasing the color gradient and makes it almost impossible to get a shade closer to blood without going outside Valve's required range (at least based on what I know about skins).

In short, I totally agree with you: my skin would look way better if I could increase the color gradient. Thanks again for your feedback! I hope this clears things up, and feel free to reach out if you have any more questions or thoughts.:happy_seagull:

P.S.: I could increase the gradient even with Valve's rules, but my skin would probably not get accepted into the game if I did that. According to Valve: "Finishes using values outside the effective PBR range are unlikely to be selected from the workshop."

Thank you for the author's reply. I'm sorry, Ah, I think I'm not clear about Valve's selection criteria. Thank you very much for the author's understanding and reply. Of course, I will also strongly support the author's work, I hope the author's ideas can be selected
