Hello, everyone! Black Mesa East Raid has officially been public on the workshop for a year as of today I must say I’m extremely grateful for the continued support it has received and that it was able to reach over 10,000 subscribers on the EZ2 Workshop. It’s been my most popular Source Engine project by far out of all the ones I’ve ever done and I’d be lying to you if I didn’t say I was very surprised by the attention it got both on the initial YouTube video and the workshop release. I love watching people experience the map and especially the side by side comparison videos that GameGonzo and Skrally made to the events as they play out in Half-Life 2. I want to let you all know that I’ve read all your comments even if I didn’t reply to them. I still appreciate the kind words! I was planning on doing a major update to Black Mesa East Raid for the anniversary that would upgrade some areas of the map visually, while also balancing enemies and improving the scripted parts of the map. However, life got in the way and my schedule is busy at the minute with plenty of things. But for now an update isn’t coming anytime soon. However, I will confirm that I have some plans for something…

It’s currently an unnamed EZ2 campaign that will be in similar style to Black Mesa East Raid, showing an event in the original game from the Combines perspective. It would also be more fleshed out and longer compared to Black Mesa East Raid where instead of just being one short map it might be multiple. The exact order of the events that you’d experience is still not final but a good chunk of this is planned out. At the moment I have no plans to actively work on this project past test maps and some drafts but hopefully when I have the time necessary I can work on this further. Keep in mind though that I am making any promises with this and things can change so if you don’t hear more about this it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s dead or anything else. It’s quite simply, ready when it’s ready!

Regardless, it has been an honor and a genuinely heartwarming experience to work on all of this and it's something I’ll never forget.
