C&O J2A George Washington

Description
As always thank you to Lskeetskeet & Mokan for the super screenshots!

George Washington

Hello folks, and welcome back to the USRA era! We have the Chesapeake & Ohio version of the USRA heavy Mountain, the J2A!

READ THIS PLEASE!!!!
As a heads up folks, you will find this locomotive in your buy menu under "multiple unit" under the steam category. The reason you see it under the multiple unit category is the Random numbers mod. In order for it to work the locomotive must have a cargo space. That cargo is 1 passenger. So no, you are not crazy if you see this on your freight trains. This is the workaround for getting the random numbers to work. Honestly well worth it! Normally I'd say you must have a dependent mod active for the random numbers to work, but Meatballhero has allowed me to include the files! No dependents necessary for this one! Also you may want to set a max timer for your trains you want to sit and wait for full at stations.

Slight history

During the first world war the federal government enacted the USRA as an experiment to nationalize the railroads during a wartime emergency. This lasted from December of 1917 to March of 1920. They introduced standardized locomotive and rail car classes known as the USRA Standard.
Changes occurred quickly as once President Wilson issued the order for nationalization. All the railroads were organized into 3 divisions, East, West, and South. A reduction in passenger service occurred to help with decongestion of freight. The current number of locomotives and rolling stock was augmented by new production of up-to-date and standardized types/designed to be the best that could be produced to replace outdated equipment.

These locomotives are great in fast passenger service!

Cherry Trees?

I have 8 versions of the J2A for you.
The George Washington is a specific train that the C&O ran. Not specifically the locomotive, but the version for that service is noted here with a plate on the smoke box with George Washington's silhouette.

Whats next

Took a tad bit, I wanted to redo the air pumps for this locomotive which means in the future I will have newly modeled pumps for them as well! Honestly for whats next is a bit of a toss up.. I am currently texturing the USRA Light Santa Fe 2-10-2, and UVing the USRA Heavy Pacific 4-6-2. I also have started work on the next and last USRA heavy mountain ... or perhaps a locomotive based on the idea of the heavy mountain, the FEC class 801. From there I have a heavy Santa Fe in the modeling process, and several other variations left to do. Not 100% sure what will be next.

The USRA locomotives are also ones in which if you simply google USRA and the type of locomotive you get so many hits on model locomotives. So if you are wanting to reskin these into your own road you can ask me on the TPF American Modding discord for the PSD's and create a dependent mod if you wish for the community.

HEADS UP-

From this point, please understand that my mods are rather heavy in poly count. Sorry I enjoy the detail. I put a lot of effort into these, to make them as best I can to be enjoyed. Sorry if you don't have enough disk space or computer power to run these. The models have LOD's on them to help reduce poly count as you zoom out.

Also in regards to screen shots. About 95% of the time friends take the screenshots for me. So any questions regarding them is best directed toward them at the discord below.

I really like this texture. I'm comparing this to my own imagination of what a steam locomotive would look like after years of being covered in black smoke.thank you
