Omschrijving

Railway 2 is a brand new network package which is packed with numerous new features, while maintaining the existing features of original Railway 1 project. It also brings new types of networks such as quads and mainlines. Check Railway 2 Guide in the collection, linked above.

What is Mainline Networks ?
Mainlines are part of RAILWAY2 ecosystem and feature elevated ballast and track superstructure, which is much more realistic compared to standard networks, which are on flat terrain. Mainlines comes with 3 elevation types, tunnel portal and tunnel prefabs. Since they manipulate terrain, it is not recommended to make road crossings with mainlines, use standard networks instead for this purpose.

Mainline height variations are distributed over prefabs. Use Fine Road Tool to switch between elevations.
  • Basic: 30cm (EU) or 15” (US) above ground
  • Elevated: 160cm (EU) or 5’3” (US) above ground
  • Bridge: 350cm (EU) or 11’3” above ground.

  • Brand new pack
  • B54 type sleepers with a sleeper density seen in Germany. This specific density is based heavy-rail lines in Germany.
  • UIC60 rail standard.
  • Procedural gravel coloring with Network Skins
  • In-game customizable ballast with Theme Mixer
  • Guardrails
  • Auto-abutments
  • Introducing QUAD tracks
  • Embankment trick by Bad Peanut & REV0
  • Local catenary customization with Network Skins
  • and more

All Concrete tracks recycle texture and materials of track superstructure between each other. All R2 networks recycle ballast, gravel texture and materials, in order to maximize the optimization. Subscribing entire pack of German-X style cost about 40MB load.

Comes as electrified networks. Use Network Skins to disable wires on-dragging, or Catenary Replacer to cancel wires map-wide. Part of RAILWAY project, thus requires Railway Replacer to customize track props.

Highly recommend to check the complete guide for full features and details.

No, 1212 config was too messy so i went with 1122 instead during the development. 1212 is also possible with dragging 2x 2 lane networks so there was not much extra it would bring to the table

Is there an option that 4 track network could go ⬇ ⬆ ⬇ ⬆ instead of ⬇ ⬇ ⬆ ⬆?

I built it according to the instructions https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PWbrTT8HUCQ they only change at the transition from double track to single track

Trains are switching lanes on double lane network ?

Hello Revo, Thanks for your Amazing work, but I have a problem with Railway2. I have built a multi-track connection from double track to single track and so far everything is ok, but when a train runs over it, does it change tracks even though there are no switches? What am I doing wrong?

Seems someone already asked for r2 update and modder said they will look into it

@REV0 Thank you for your promt answear. It seems that mod (https://gtm.you1.cn/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2498816218) doesn't help even with vanilla ones. Maybe it is something after airport DLC, because before it does help.
