Hey guys!

After a long month, I am proud to finally present and share with you the next in my series: REGIONAL AIRPORT(s)!

You are getting 3 NEW airports with this download - single asphalt runway Regional Airport, two asphalt runway L-shaped Regional Airport and one version with concrete runway!

All of them are built from scratch with considerable amount of details, with tons of new features and are based on the vanilla airfield, but have enough space for 8 modules to be placed along the taxiway! These are modern, medium size airports created to add even more variety to the game.


REGIONAL AIRPORTS 'features:

- NEW : collision-free airports perfectly optimized for maximum efficiency and practically NO go-arounds!

- NEW : more space between runway and taxiway to enable larger wingspan planes,

- NEW : more parking space for planes in front of terminals / gates - no aircraft tail is hanging over the taxiway! (... max size: Boeing 757, TU-204, Boeing 707)

- NEW : added runway start and end lights, decorative runway lights, terminal spotlights ... many other lights placed all-over ...

- NEW : 10 original modules designed with great care in a made-up architectural style (... entrance billboards with airline logos and few little custom messages I left here and there on the terminal - see if you can spot them all!)

- ALL MODULES/ GATES & CARGO have STREET ACCESS and finally DOUBLE CAPACITY! (... no more terminal overload and passengers leaving the airport or CARGO disappearing!) -

1. Main building with ATC tower, street access and helipad,
Main building with ATC tower and gate,
Main building with ATC tower, gate and JETWAY!
Ramp module (DECO empty RAMP with street access only, no ground markings!)

2. Gates A and B (normal terminal gates with waiting area inside the building, ground gate markings),

3. Gates A1 and B1 (gates with JETWAY and waiting area inside the building, ground gate markings),

4. Gate C (small terminal gate on RAMP with small building where passengers are waiting in the open, no ground markings, for low-cost airlines or big planes that won't fit the normal gate - tested with Boeing 767 and Airbus A330),

5. NEW CARGO terminal module (also with double capacity and ground gate markings),

6. BONUS! Air Traffic Control tower as freely placeable object found in assets menu (small ATC icon!),

I'd like to thank DH-106 from transportfever.net for his support, planes, patience and advice as well as his animated models: red-blinking obstacle light and ATC radar which is joyfully spinning on the tower top!

- NEW: second runway at 90 degrees angle for take off only!

(Here my special thanks to MJ1989C for his friendly help and advice!),

- NEW: fuel pumps on the ground of aircraft stands (gates) - passenger and CARGO for easy refueling,

- NEW: asphalt runway(s) and concrete taxiway with taxiway center light,

- NEW concrete single runway version,

- perimeter fence removed for easy decoration of the surroundings,

- better precision approach path indicator - PAPI lights placement,

- airport blends seamlessly with the environment (no more grass under the runway in desert climate),

- ... many objects placed all over the gates and airport (pylons, vents, tugs, lights, baggage carts, aircraft stairs ...),

- correct "floating" buildings while constructing airport modules,

- dedicated icons in asset, airport and configuration menu!

- available from 1960.

(Before you comment: ...no collision airport would not be possible with landing direction reversed! LOL!)

FINALLY ... as we know the aviation as a whole is going through a rough time these past few months and I think we should all take a moment to realize how dire the situation is and if possible give / show support to those amazing people who have lost their job in this beautiful industry. Hey guys, runway direction is tricky on Regional Airport as it requires coding a whole new airport layout with taxiways ect. Runway markings can be erased/moved from airport.con file manually. All Regional Airport terminals have their double capacity preserved after the update! ;)

Hi, love this mod and just wondering if this will be updated at some point in the future to support the new features with airport buildings adding additional passenger/cargo capacity? I know the update has just landed and not expecting everything to be updated immediately, just wondering if it would be on the road map? Thanks :)

love this airport! is there any way to remove the runway markings, so that i can extend it a bit more, or no ?

@Remi Gio Love this mod; especially for cargo lines. Is it possible for you to implement the option to switch runway direction (left and right)? Just like you can with the vanilla airports? I would love for this feature to be implemented without the need to rotate one of your airports.

If you can get the high capacity terminals then this will definitely become the best mod for TpF2.

Excellent work. This airport has really helped me to increase the traffic load. it saves lot of ground time for airplanes waiting for departure at holding point eventually saving lot of cost and time.
