First off...Happy Summer Solstice to you all.

Second...Did anyone manage to get to see the Scotsman on his/her run yesterday?
I caught it at Newbury where it stopped for a few minutes...one guy said that it was picking up water at Newbury Racecourse but whether this is correct or not I don't know.
I will say that they could have found some tidier carriages instead of those tatty old West Coast ones...but oh well.
It was good to see so many of Newbury's citizens come out to see it, from oldies in wheelchairs to kids...just great...and I particularly enjoyed what sounded like hundreds of kids cheering as it pulled into Newbury...cheering and shouting 'woo-woo'...great fun.
