2021 estimated total cost of all DLC content
I thought it would be fun to calculate the entire cost of all the DLC in a new unit of time, this is not a complaint post, just a chunk of data you can do with as you wish.

Total DLC items tabulated: 717
Discounts at the time?: None
Total cost in USD: $12,730.84
After a 7.25% tax rate (California): $13,653.83

I have just over 10% of the DLC amount (82), but only spent approx 3% of total cost to get it.

It's not just how much/how many, but when you buy them...

Either you are late or much too early. Weekend ended yesterday... Besides, you forgot to add third party add-ons. That might double the amount.

So that's how far we got since 2019.

Now take your money and spend it for some new CS:GO weapon skins! Should be better for you and for us!

Time was there was an "Add all to cart" button in the Store page when there was already getting on for 600 DLCs which would have cost the thick end of £8,000 IIRC. Of course no one would be daft enough to buy all of them at once, especially full price, but there was hardly a week went by when some troll waded into the forums brandishing this fact thinking* they alone had noticed it as evidence that TS users were all idiots for some thinly argued reason. They generally withdrew in short order disappointed that they had failed to start a flame war.

I use the term "thinking" fairly loosely.

That may explain a hint of hostility in some of the response here but I see no such trolling- just an observation.

Not sure it works like that though really.. most of us concentrate on the bits we like. for me its UK rail only, no interest at all in any other routes, so ive got most of them now, and im concentrating on the midlands mainline, from just trains at the moment, with a smattering of rolling stock for A.P.. so really, it isn't that bad. But there is so much DLC because the have to cater for people who want DLC for their own country, or region.. Thats how i see it anyway

Dovetails should do a subscription with that insane amount of DLC so those who are unsure can try it out and not spend a bunch of money to find out it's full of crap and glitches later on.

Good idea.
Like consoles or EA. Pay £10 or $10 a month and get access to a tiered system.(Gold, Silver and Bronze) As long as you stay subscribed.
You also - as a member- get reductions on buying addons that you keep.
Or just buy when sales are on and stay out of subscriptions
