Something Odd - Import Character
So, it looks like the first part of chapter two is ready to go... Almost.

It all seemed to be working, so I published it locally for a play through or two to be sure. I start a new game, reach the end of chapter one, and when it tries to load chapter two, it gives me the import character screen, instead of just continuing.

I'll be damned if I can see why. Nothing in any of the properties for the scene suggests anything that should trigger this.

Any ideas?

Are the two packs separate?

No. I took the chapter one I built, and built chapter two straight onto that.

Then it shouldn't require an import between the chapters...

I know. I haven't put one in. I can't figure out what's causing it to happen.

There's nothing in the scene .txt file, or the scene map .txt file that I can see that would trigger it.

The only thing I can think of is that when I test the scene from the editor, it automatically opens the import character screen. Maybe that got stuck in the main game files?

You can pick a character to load from the editors test console...

If you publish locally.does it still do it?

Does it persist after closing the game window and reloading it? (You do get some oddities when you text over and over sometimes,)

Are you running it from the beginning and it asks for an import when you hit chapter 2? Or starting the run at chapter 2 from the editor?

I have published it locally, and started it from the beginning of chapter one. It gives the import character screen as soon as the first chapter 2 scene tries to load. I know the scene tries to load, as I do get the chapter 2 opening load screen text appear briefly before the import character screen appears.

I've tried running through the campaign a couple of times, once after restarting the game to allow for UGC updates, and again after republishing the campaign again (and again allowing for UGC update).

It does also ask to import a character when I run chapter two from the editor, but then, the editor does that with every scene I test.

Interesting... Haven't seen that before. All in one pack, and still required an import... Do you have a PC0 player spawner? Seems like a very odd one.

Well done!

I don't believe I missed that, lol. It seems I deleted it by accident when remodelling the apartments, and hadn't even realised... D'oh!

Running through some tests now, and will hopefully have chapter two, part one up by the end of the day.

Cheers Dave. That was driving me nuts.
