Why Early Access?

“To create a richer open world based on Chinese folklore and a more exploratory game mode, we believe it is crucial to adjust and update the game based on actual player feedback.
"AsHes" is a Survivalcraft game themed around Chinese folklore, focusing on survival exploration and crafting as its core gameplay. It integrates a carefully designed main storyline into this open world. This innovative game mode aims to provide players with a unique experience different from previous open-world survival games. To gather more extensive player feedback and make this exploratory experience more interesting, player assistance is indispensable. Therefore, we decided to release the game in an Early Access format and sincerely look forward to players' feedback.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“To continuously improve the game's quality, we plan to maintain the Early Access period for about a year and attempt further optimizations.
During the Early Access period, we will try to enrich various in-game elements, including more folklore elements, extended and expanded storylines, more strange Chinese ghosts and monsters, and more thrilling survival challenges.
Depending on the game's development progress, we will decide whether to extend the Early Access period or proceed with the official full release in the future.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Our core goal is to further enhance the gameplay experience of the Chinese folklore Survivalcraft game, including more enjoyable exploration gameplay, deeper survival experiences, richer folklore settings, and elements, making the Yaoshan world more realistic. Additionally, we will consider introducing new gameplay and systems based on player feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“In the current version of the game, the core gameplay based on Survivalcraft games is already mature, offering high playability and enjoyment. In the current version, players can experience 26 chapters of story missions across three main chapters, over 160 types of building components, more than 150 crafting recipes, over 70 weapons and equipment, as well as many folklore records and story bosses unique to Chinese folklore. Even in the Early Access stage, players can enjoy the unique exploration fun that "AsHes" brings.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“To thank the players participating in Early Access and helping to improve the game, the game price will be significantly discounted during the Early Access period. After the official release, the game price will increase.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We have established multiple feedback channels and communication platforms for gamers. Players can contact us through the Steam community, official QQ group, Discord, and major social media platforms. They can also submit feedback via designated email. Additionally, we will maintain close communication with players participating in Early Access and pay attention to various aspects of the game experience.”
