is there any alternatives that let you change trees globally and on buildings
Thank you. I have been subribed to comments for months, waiting for alternative.
This mod does work, but has a lot of issues. Anyone looking for a more up-to-date prop/tree switching mod should consider using BOB, the Tree and Prop Replacer mod.
1. the game crash when I replace some tree in a building, it game is still playable after crash message until click it.
Here is report file: https://ufile.io/k63xs66u
2. some tree in campus DLC building cant be replaced.
I've use this in every city I build. I have created a perfect 1-for-1 replacement of every vanilla tree to custom tree for global map and building settings. I've also changed per individual vanilla container props to custom container props.
Over time, I've learned how to use this mod without it messing up and throwing errors. One learned example is when you want to revert a change. You have to not only select the item you want to revert back (in the upper window), but also select the item you previously changed it to (in the lower window). Then revert the changes. There are other oddities as well.
I will continue to use this until something comparable comes along.
@Klyte45 created the Prop Switcher mod, but was unable to successfully include tree switching.
Just wish there was an update to beef up stability/squash bugs. The mod feels abandoned at this point
- slowly
- not too much at once
- closing it after every change, especially removal of prop
Otherwise you might get a crash. This has happened to me several times by now and is the only reason the game has crashed. And that says a lot...
The file name: CSL_PropItUp.xml
File sharing options are found here in the first section under the heading "Sharing Your Log File" ... Don't worry that it says "your log file". It will work for this .xml file too.

This problem happen since I used this mod.
many source error when running the source code.
can you provide the all source code?
i want to update the function
i want to have two function
1,the global prop replacement
2,want not to see the vanilla prop in the [select replacement prop] list ,because the vanilla prop is low quality,so it's unnecessary to replace the prop to the vanilla prop.
but in the [select replacement prop] list, contains the vanilla prop ,so the list is too long.
I accidentally removed trees from the park, how can I get them back?^^
ALTERNATIVES: Vanilla Trees Remover to get rid of the trees on your assets. For props? I've just been converting assets using Procedural Objects, which gets rid of all props and trees. True, you lose the functionality of the building, but you can use some "blank" or "block" assets that mimic that functionality and hide them inside the PO.
NOTE: After unsubbing Prop it Up, my city's load time decreased by a solid 20-30%
