I'm really pleased to say that macsergey has fixed the issue that caused parallel road tool to not work properly on macOS! As of the latest beta, us macOS users can use that tool perfectly. Thanks so much to macsergey for diagnosing and fixing this issue (which was related to the keyboard key codes that C:S receives on macOS - the Enter key was processed twice, causing the duplicated networks.)

OK with the help of TBN I now realise that the problem I have with parallel mode is caused by my being on macOS. Testing in Windows with exactly the same mods and mod config, I find that NMT's parallel mode works absolutely fine.

I too have the duplicated segment issue with parallel mode. I'm still in CS 1.13 so it's not an issue with the new update/DLC.

I am on MultiTool 1.2, but I guess as the issue is being reported here in the 1.3 page, it must be present there also. As some people are not having the issue, perhaps it's related to a mod incompatibility?

I think I did have one occasion where it worked properly, but I've not been able to recreate it since. I've tested with both vanilla and Workshop roads

@SimJoo68, by duplicated do you mean there is a third road parallel to the first two...OR, like me, you get a second segment on top of the first one?

I have a peculiar issue which is consistent with both regular and beta versions of this mod, where parallel roads have been duplicated when I try to use them.

I have no bridge pillars, when I do roads with Network Multitools's parallel road function. I have to upgrade it to elevated and back to bridge.

Feature requests:

1. Toggle "Ground roads will follow terrain" within the drop down UI so we can swap between a perfectly level bridge or a road that hugs the topography before building it would be great.

As it works right now, if you place a curve that extends over an area where the topography slopes down it makes a flat bridge (not saying thats bad) but the only way i can currently think to "fix" that if you want a road that hugs the terrain was with move it mod... but when i drop it to terrain level it STILL has the bridge sides / aesthetic as if move it purely buried the rest of the road supports but made it "level" for the road surface.. hope that explanation makes sense.

2 . button in drop down UI or ctrl+z undo would be great, even if only one step backwards (but multiple would be amazing)

Keep up the great work, this tool has really changed the way people play for the better!

A feature that I would like to see added would be a feature that allows the measurement of a network path (Road, highway, etc.), in miles\kilometres, between multiple nodes.

@macsergey Really powerful mod, thanks for creating this. Just some feedback on the English naming of tools. I think "Set slope mode" would be much clearer as "Smooth slope/gradient" or "Make constant gradient". Likewise "Arrange at line mode" would be much clearer as "Smooth nodes" or perhaps "Smooth network curves". These 2 modes (and Create parallel mode) are exactly what I was looking for when I installed your mod. I didn't initially realise they were available due to the naming.

Hey, excellent work on slope angles fix. Thanks.

I had few feature requests.

1) An option to show slope angles for the proposed segment and height of the proposed nodes compared to local terrain in connection and loop mode. It'll be wonderful to carve out the roads in mountains and make a smooth road going up/down the hill without a lot of terrain deformity. I think this will be relatively simple to add.

2) Very complex and rough feature idea. Ability to make elliptical turns in the connection and loop mode, so you change the radius of not just the circle, but change radius of major and semi-major axis. It'll allow for even more custom road shapes. If possible you can rotate the eclipse as well.

First one is a request, second one is rough idea and wishlist.

On both beta and stable, when activating i get a popup message saying there are incompatible mods and this mod will remain disabled, however there is no indication of which mods might be incompatible. any list of known mod incompatibilities or maybe a way to force this mod activation to test compabilities?
