@emraldmars
That's usually a mod, yes. :) Do you have Hide It? If so, uncheck the Shore Area option in its settings.
(Or if you have a similar mod that hides dead trees on shorelines, check that mod's options.)

Neat, last comment was on my birthday!

Um... I am working with this map right now, and I don't have any of the autumn-looking trees in the swamp areas. I know it's been a couple years, but any reason I don't have those? Do I have a mod interfering with something?
AquilaSol  [skapare] 20 mar, 2020 @ 7:25
@Allystrya There have been a few game updates since the map came out, so there's a very good chance you're right, and that an update fixed it. :)
Allystrya 19 mar, 2020 @ 17:45
Yes, I am aware of the prop snapping issue hence why I was excited when I did it by accident in the middle of the night half asleep a month or two ago. It was a relief to me to not have to care if there was floaters anymore when looking at maps. I didn't know repopping was a thing until I read your reply.

It does have me curious though why it won't it work for others but does for me. Maybe it settings? or an update? I can tell you I would never provide bad info I promise.

I did a video example for you to view. I don't know if it will help and maybe you will see something that will. I chose ecania's YAKATORIAN ISLANDS. It has a rather large amount of floating items and was the original map I did it on for a city build.

I performed the same actions I do on any map with floaters, even saving and reloading after I do it. I show my options area forgot to the bottom of my mod list for a full view.

@Allystrya The "problem" with the floating props is because Prop Snapping doesn't play nice with vanilla props. It has nothing to do with their placement or elevation. ;) Once you remove the mod, the props stop floating. Even if you try to lower them back to ground level with the align tools, they'll just jump back up either directly or on load. It's a bug.

I ran out of characters LOL I love this map :) It is beautifully done :)

Just as an FYI for the wonderful floating tree/prop issues on maps:

If you use MoveIt, then you can select props and trees in MoveIt,
Use the Marquee tool and select your entire square (or if using a camera utility mod that allows you to go anywhere on the map then you can zoom out and select the whole map)
Then select to "Align Objects to Terrain Height", then it nicely plops them down.

However be cautious if they have used other props and such. I usually check all the green areas of move it to ensure it isn't some oddball placed prop like a wall light but if it is then just shift click it to de-select it. Usually though it is just rocks and trees :) if they aren't floating then nothing happens anyway :)

Thanks, that's good to know :)
AquilaSol  [skapare] 14 jul, 2019 @ 10:30
@Vimes I always use the 81 Tiles mod myself. It has some issues with a few things build outside the 25 normal tiles such as custom pillars resetting (Network Skins) and disaster evacuations not working ooutside those 25 tiles, but other than that it works fine. :)
Vimes 14 jul, 2019 @ 4:50
I do not know where you get your inspiration from, but I'm so glad that you do :)

Many thanks for creating and sharing this.

Are there any known issues using the 81 tiles mod over that of the 25..?

That way I get access to the bottom section of land on this beautiful map.

Thanks

AquilaSol  [skapare] 14 maj, 2019 @ 13:43
That is a terrible excuse.
Shredder 14 maj, 2019 @ 13:32
lol It's also a video game! ;)
AquilaSol  [skapare] 14 maj, 2019 @ 13:14
@Shreddy
It's an island.
Shredder 14 maj, 2019 @ 10:57
More than 1 highway and train line would have been nice. Great map though.
WizardofRoz 8 maj, 2019 @ 23:18
Awesome map! Why doesn't water flow correctly for intake / sewage? Or am I using it incorrectly?
AquilaSol  [skapare] 21 apr, 2019 @ 19:42
@Totof947 Just the basic settings, with a very slight shift to yellow in the tint&temperature. The rest is from lowering the sun position with Ultimate Eyecandy, and changing the light strength values.
Totof947 18 apr, 2019 @ 9:40
Great job !!
Possible to have your relight settings ? Or is it just the basic settings whith neutral LUT ?
Sir Maukalot 14 apr, 2019 @ 22:54
Very pretty!
AquilaSol  [skapare] 13 apr, 2019 @ 12:13
Traffic isn't bugged. The 16 times I've tested it in vanilla mode, citybound traffic spawned within a minute of the first buildings growing (at 3x speed). There is no traffic at the start, because there's no regional traffic. Make sure you check your mods, and as always, don't do a second load.
♔SUPERVISOR the Original 13 apr, 2019 @ 7:56
Nice map dude

No problems , traffics flowing. perhaps try to alter the roundabout at the end of the higway, ill did it at start for my layout.
Alecthelm 12 apr, 2019 @ 5:21
i got no problem, build town, traffic flows as usual, same to plane and railroad. didnt alter anything, only erased one railroad track near ending.
MarcusAga 12 apr, 2019 @ 3:45
I assume the traffic is bugged because this map has just one entry.
rcpettit 11 apr, 2019 @ 14:04
lovely map, i actually built a little town and then noticed no cars or traffic was being spawned. Fix coming soon? Every other map I have or start does not have this issue, just this one
The Adjuster 11 apr, 2019 @ 12:23
not sure why, but I'm not seeing any cars/people with this map. Everything seems to work fine in vanilla maps so I'm not sure what's going on
Raffa 11 apr, 2019 @ 12:04
Damn! Today I will give a similar map for the workshop. Damn it, damn it!
I'm complete Jára Cimrman (Czech fictional hero). I'm late again.
Beautiful map. Thumbs up ;)
Constant B 10 apr, 2019 @ 10:37
A wonderful map! Thank you so much for creating it.
Hafiz 9 apr, 2019 @ 1:27
nice
MrMiyagi 8 apr, 2019 @ 15:37
I love this! It will be a really pretty map right from the start, with multiple islands to gaze at wistfully, as you wait to grow enough to expand there :)
Bringer of Fire 8 apr, 2019 @ 14:50
Thumbs up!
HamsterVolant 8 apr, 2019 @ 12:40
Absolutely gorgeous.
(as usual)
