This mod was absolutely fantastic, it just made all the game systems work so much better together. If you ever do find time to update it, I'd love to play it again.

@Infidel If you mean the bug where the end of turn seems to hang. Check your events on the right of the screen. There is a combat event window, that likely finished then minimized. It has to be closed for the turn to actually end.

hey umm, though I doubt that you still develop the game, the ground tactic "dug in" is currently buffing the damage dealt to defenders rather than attackers, which is probably not supposed to happen

I just reinstalled the game and can't create new games if this mod is active. It freezes during the galaxy setup. I use a few other mods, but I isolated and tried starting the game with only one mod at a time enabled. Its definitely this one. :/

Anyone figure out the ending turn bug? Ive seen others mention it but not figuring out what other mod is causing the conflict. I love using this one but I cant get very far before it hangs

I really can't recommend this mod, it's very poorly maintained and buggy. Also many of the balance balance are extremely questionable. Plus I could swear the map creation is extremely biased towards the AI, don't think it's coincidence that they start with more planets, better nearby systems and a lot more Luxury resources nearby...

I'm using your Github version right now.

I can try to mod the food to a proper amount if I can find the proper files. Maybe I need to mod the planet files for default food?

This is still the best Endless Space 2 mod for singleplayer. It's the only one where the AI is semi-competent.

Yet there's still 2 major issues to make the gameplay better.

1. Too much food

The problem I have is that default food production from planets is WAY too abundant. Even cutting it in half wouldn't probably be enough of a nerf. I never even need to build food improvements right now and still making both WAY too much manpower and population on planets without ever building a single food improvement.

2. Heros are way too cheap to buy

This is a regular problem in all of Endless Space 2. Heros are so cheap in comparison to how much money you keep racking up. I would rather just take the hero marketplace out of the game (or maybe leave it for Voydani only).

My solution would be to have no Heros on marketplace but make many improvements boost Hero acquisition rate.

Does this mod improve the AI somewhat or make them more aggressive? Currently playing vanilla on hard difficulty but the AI barely interacts with me.

Someone else already said it but I'm gonna put it out there as well: this mod does some WEIRD things to the economy. I found myself at a several hundred dust deficit despite only having a couple of ships and plenty of dust production improvements. it makes little sense, and i don't really understand how you're supposed to manage your economy with this mod. But from the looks of it there may never be another update so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Amazing mod. The rebalances is everything I hoped for. The technology tree is so much smoother and makes a lot of sense now compare to some weird shortcuts in vanilla, and I also liked a lot the new ressources and dust paradigm. The game is challenging through the whole timeline and every ressource is important until the end. The market with inflation makes a very welcome respite but will not solve problems like it used to in vanilla. The new laws also make much more sense, where the ecologists would be useless and militarists last law completely broken.

I really, really enjoyed it ! The game now feels smoother and challenging through the whole playthrough, it is like playing the game as it was intended. Thank you so much for the work !

Game hangs at "launching game".
I already got tired of the vanilla game's combat and had heard something about this mod, it's the only mod I have yet when starting a new game it immediately fails to load at "launching game". I literally had the game running for about 45 minutes while I did some stuff in the house and still it hadn't loaded.

I think you misunderstand what a "bug fix and balance mod" are. This is a complete overhaul, and it doesn't even list a single bug that it fixes.

I've been trying to narrow the never ending turn bug down to mods. My vanilla game doesn't do it, I load 15 to 20 mods and it doesn't do it. As soon as I add this one to the mix, I can never make it past turn 200. Loading it solo, I made it to 150 multiple times and it hung up. There is always a hang up with this mod. I know people have this issue vanilla sometimes, but this mod breaks my game every single time. Hopefully this helps someone.

I do enjoy the rebalance contrary to other opinions, but it needs to be fixed.

Your mod borks the hell out of the economy in this game, it dips in the first few turns of the game, I crank it up, I'm in the green and all of the sudden I get hit with God know's what and there's dust inflation, I have two corvettes and two patrol vessels and I'm in a -95 deficit on turn 25. it actually charges the player for DUST PRODUCTION, that's like charging an insane fee for mining Gold for more than the value of the actual Gold. This mod has random events that also attack the Dust economy of the player (I turned those off and tried again), this mod of yours is economically erratic from the very beginning. Your mod has some cool stuff in it but I'm seeing some real crap in there that actually makes the game worse, it's like having your ballsack in a vice.

Regarding strategic resources, are they intended to be heavily restrictive? I keep increasing strategic resource spawns but it never seems to be enough, especially antimatter.

I believe there's a bug where I can't choose the hero skill that is in the lower right corner of the screen, even though I have no problems getting the skills that are in the lower left corner. To be specific, I was playing with the Horatio faction, and my Horatio hero couldn't get the "Restricted Supplier" skill while my Imperial hero couldn't get the "Titan of Industry" skill.
