Personally I consider torpedo wire break under normal circumstances are weapon failures/defects. You can't truely snapshot with your wired guided torpedo without wires. It is a malfunction.

I read "weapon failure" and expected either a torp detonating in the tube or 360'ing into your rudder!

Wire break can be a pain, but it isn't the end of the world. Uprated for the share.
