First thing!
Hello and welcome to my guide if you could rate my guide that would mean the world to me.

Approx time to get all achievements 10 hours, if you are unlucky it may take a bit more.

The first thing we have to do is to opt into beta since the current version of the game has some broken achievements.

To do this right click on savage lands in your steam library click properties then click betas and then click the dropdown menu on betas and click "legacy final unity build 4" Wait for the game to update and we are ready to go!

Useful stuff to know before getting started!
  • Always loot the human skulls from skeletons you need 3 of these to make a spawn point so you dont have to run all the way from starting zone back to your body.

  • If you die don't worry there is a marker on your body so you can easily find back to your body and loot your stuff but you may walk for a bit.

  • You don't have to do all of this in one sitting, you can simply just exit the game and load up your
world with all your progress where you left off.

  • The reason we are using beta versions of the game is because of some broken achievements in the base game see Here!

  • There is no fall damage in the game.

  • Some achievements like the kill count achievement may take you a while or it may not.
Start up the game and make a new char!
Start the game and click "Play game"
You will then be taken to a character creator which you will make your character.
After that name your world.
Picking up starter gear and getting started!
Once in the game, you will notice some items laying in front of you pick all of them up.

You may notice theres several tasks on the right side of the screen, we need to do these in order to get the achievement "Taskmaster" So first up equip your hatchet and start chopping trees until you have 6 logs.

You will also need 6 sticks, you may not always get them from trees so the easiest way to do this is to make them from logs, Bring up the crafting menu from button "k" and look for sticks.

To get stone and flint you can hack away on boulders laying around or on mountains. You must also craft 1 bandage in the crafting screen you start off with the mats for it so no worries..

Allright once all that is done lets move on to the next section.

Getting to your new location.
From the starting zone look up to some damaged structures and move straight ahead in that direction.

Eventually, you will reach this abandoned village with a dragon statue in it. This is where you will make your base and grind away. First, scour the area and see if there's any weapons or other useful stuff laying around.

In this little hut with a door I decided to put my bonfire in front of the door, that way if any skeletons come or things go south I can always go in there and close it while still keeping warm.

To craft a bonfire click "J" then click on the repair hammer on the top left, then click on "camp fire"
Place it anywhere you like.

Once it's placed click e on the campfire to add mats to it, it needs 1 flint and 3 wooden logs. Only 1 mat will be added at a time so in this case, you need to click "e" 4 times.

And finally make yourself a leander click "j" and click on leander and place it anywhere you like, it needs 4 logs and 10 wooden sticks. remember once placed you need to click "e" for each mat so in this case 14 times provided you have the mats in your inventory.

Killing stuff and setting up.
Now go out and hunt 2 deer kill anything you come across for some meat but be careful so you don't get lost. So don't go too far off and always keep a track of where your base is. Also if you kill any skeletons ALWAYS pick up the human skulls, you need 3 of those to make a spawn point. if you die you will have to walk all the way back to your corpse to loot it, thankfully when you die there's a marker on your body but still, it's pretty damn annoying.

Deer take 3 hits easiest way to kill them is to sneak up on them to sneak hold "ctrl" while walking then once close give them a whack, they will run but then stop again. Also, dont forget to loot them for meat and the hide you need that make a better weapon. once you have killed 2 deer and looted them head back to your camp.

Cook the meat you have gotten, to cook meat press k on the bonfire and navigate to your meat tab and press cook. to eat the meat drag it from your inventory to your hot bar.

Click "k" and craft yourself a "Crude spiked club" it needs 2 stone 1 deer hide and 1 wooden log.
if it breaks click the crafting screen "k" and choose the tab all the way to the right and click repair. This weapon only needs 1 stone and 1 log to repair.

Right next to your little hut is a forge, click k on the forge and make yourself a "pine strongbox"
it needs 4 logs, 8 coal and 4 low quality metal ore.

to get coal and metal ores just mine away on rocks and mountains theres a big deposit right behind your hut.

Once you have crafted yourself a pine strong box just drop it on the floor from your inventory.
store all your stuff here metals flint hide you will need it later.

Also make sure you craft yourself a compass from the forge.

From here on out just gather lots of sh!t especially stone and metals and place in pine box, craft yourself some weapons or armor whatever you like, and hopefully you will have a spawn point set up by now.

The grind!
Prepare yourself for the grind, don't build the blacksmith yet we will do this later on in the guide.

Open up "j" and click on the wooden shack, you cant place it inside the village so you need to place it a little outside for it to work. This one is pretty easy and shouldn't take long, I placed mine just behind the forge. Gather the mats and upgrade it to get the achievement.

This one is agonizingly grindy and to make things worse you have to build it on a perfectly flat surface. Was only able to place it down on the beach where you start. You can have only 2 of a log in a stack and with limited inventory space, this was an absolute pain to do.

When that is done head on back to your base and grind mats for the wolfsbane weapon and then craft it.

Which achievements you should of gotten.
By now you should have gotten

First blood!
kill 1 creature.

FIRE!
Build your first campfire.

Clobbering time
Craft your first weapon.

The basics
Build a leanto.

Lumberjack that!
Chop down 10 trees.

Prospector
Mine 25 items from any rock.

Brittle Bones
Kill 5 skeletons!

Task master
Complete all Day 1 Tasks.

Die Hard the Hunter
Kill 25 creatures.

Oh deer!
Kill 5 Deer.

4 Walls and a Roof
Build a Wooden Shack.

Which Way is North?
Craft a compass.

A Wolf's Bane
Craft wolfsbane sword.

Who Runs Barter Town?
Build a Town Hall.

Plagued by Wolves
Kill 3 plague wolves.

Canine Conundrum
Kill 5 Wolves.
Last ones.
Now to the last 4 achievements which are:

Entering the unknown
Join any Hostile or Friendly Server.

This one is pretty straightforward simply join a server and it should pop, I got this achievement back when the game launched when there was plenty of servers. However, now the game is pretty dead so if you can't find a server I would join a friends server to get this.

They Mostly Come at Night... Mostly.
Kill 10 undead furies.

They look like this, unfortunately, there is no known place where they spawn so you gotta go around the map and search for it a real pain to do.

Guardian of the Isle
Kill 1 forest giant.

These are also found all over the map so you gotta hunt for them, they will be stationary in the woods and will awaken once you get close to them. These are tough and I would recommend taking with you a spawn point when hunting, when you find one place it down and just hit him, spawn and hit him again until he dies.

Master craftsman.
Build a Blacksmith structure.

This should be your last achievement, in this version of the game this is a pain to do, so I would opt out of beta and just get this one in the latest build of the game.

Thank you!
Thank you for reading my guide and I hope I have helped you somewhat on your way.
There may be an easier way to do this like teaming up with a friend or joining a server (if people are still playing last time I checked there were 2 active servers.)

This was simply what worked for me and tought I would share what I've learned.

Please rate my guide if you enjoyed it!

Enjoy!

This doesn't say where plague wolves appear; I am guessing they no longer appear in the first island, at least in the final build.

Hey, do you still need Legacy Build to get the achievements or do they work in the public build?

Its the last achievement I have (wolfsbane), but not sure how to get it quite yet.

Wolfsbane recipe has changed once again:
1 - (relic) corrupted wolfsbane
1 - skull of chilkoot
1 - enchanted branch
5 - nightbloom flowers
2 - (spirit) wolf sould

The reason I suggested the achievements on legacy is because some achievements in regular version are bugged and will not pop, Also plague wolves, skeletons, and undead furies achievements are all broken in the main version. So it's a good idea to do the building achievements etc until you at least have killed 3 plague wolves, killed 10 skeletons since these are broken achievements in the main version, Also the undead furies achievement in the main version don't work. Haven't gotten the undead furies achievement myself but I did spot one and killed 2 plague wolves myself so I know they spawn. If you got any tips I would be happy to add it to the guide with credits.
