Voodoo Vince was a vital part of my childhood, and seeing it remastered and brought to Steam is a dream come true. In this guide, I will show you how to master Voodoo Vince: Remastered by guiding you on how to unlock every achievement. Most of these achievements are fairly obvious and easy, but I will do my best to help out and/or give advice on any certain pesky achievements!

These achievements are all story-related and will become unlocked as you progress.

The achievements should unlock in the order as listed below.

You might earn these achievements randomly throughout your experience with this game, but if you have not unlocked any of these achievements, here is how to do so.



Beads for Deeds
First monster killed


Self-explanitory.


Who Do? You Do.
First use of Voodoo Power


Once again, self-explanitory.

Watch That First Step
Fall to your death in a bottomless pit


If you didn't unlock this achievement already, you are quite skilled. Just fall into the abyss at any point in the game.


Not Seaworthy
Fall into water


Once again, if you didn't unlock this achievement already, you are quite skilled. Just fall into any body of water throughout the game.


Public Transit
Take your first Trolley ride


Just go up to any "Trolley Station" in the game, activate it, and travel to any location.


Soft Landing
Hover for longer than 10 seconds


Choose any high location in the game and hold the button to hover after jumping off. Slowly float down for 10 seconds until the achievement is acquired.


X-Ray Specs
Use All-Seeing Eye to see stuff


Unlocked in the Crypt City portion of the game.


Swing Time
Use Swing Pin move for the first time


Unlocked in the Brusque Mansion portion of the game.

These last two achievements could have been included in the story-based section, but I felt as if using these abilities was not integral to the overall story element of the game.

REMEMBER: Never forget how useful the Trolley and All-Seeing Eye are. If you miss a couple of collectibles early on in the game, don't worry! Unlock the All-Seeing Eye ability and then travel back to the level you skipped to obtain the remaining collectibles!


It's Got What Dolls Crave
Collect 100 Dust Bags


Just find the dust bags spread thoughout nearly every level. Using the All-Seeing Eye ability assists you with finding any frustratingly hidden bags. In a normal playthrough, most players find 100 bags no problem.

Good Catch
Collect first power Skull


The chances of you not collecting at least one power skull is slim, however, if you need assistance, have no fear. Overall, all you have to do is find all of skull pages within a particular level in order to unlock the skull. Find the skull and activate it. You now must chase after the skull and finally collect it after it comes to a stand still. Be quick though!

Arsenal of Ouch
Collect all Voodoo Powers


Collecting all of the Voodoo Powers is honestly not that difficult of a challenge. A percentage of Voodoo Powers are dropped after completing special tasks or fights, but, if you cannot locate a certain skull, use the All-Seeing Eye!

Pages for the Ages
Collect all Skull Pages


Once again, utilize the All-Seeing Eye. Basically, all of the pages are grouped together in some way or another and can be collected in a single jump and/or hover.

Cranial Completionist
Collect all Power Skulls


This one can be a bit annoying in some levels. Overall, just collect all of the Skull Pages for a particular level and then the Power Skull for that level will spawn. Race the skull to its location and collect it.

Tidying Up The Place
Collect all Dust Bags


USE THE ALL-SEEING EYE! Some bags can be cleverly hidden and tucked away and it can be easy to miss a couple throughout your playthrough. However, if you use your unique ability, it should make locating the bags a lot easier.

Tin Ear
Play the trumpet badly for the jazz man in The Square


This one is pretty simple. Just collect the trumpet and, WITHOUT GOING TO THE JAZZ CLUB, go and talk to the Jazz Man in The Square. Your trumpet skills will suck at this point and you may be insulted by the Jazz Man, but the achievement will unlock.

The Old Fashioned Way
Kill a bubba gator without using a Voodoo Power


Pretty simple as well. You might want to wait until you have collected a bit of health before trying this as the gators can pack a punch, but, I was able to get this achievement on one of the first levels called The Docks. Just fight defensively while combatting a gator.

Baker's Dozen
Kill 13 monsters with a single Voodoo Power attack


The perfect opportunity for the achievement is in the later level called The Carnival. In order to collect an item needed for that area, you have to pull a lever which will release at least 13 frog enemies. Use your Voodoo Power attack in the center of the enemies and the achievement should unlock.

In the House of Mirrors level, you could also obtain this achievement during the final wave of the boss fight with the 7 big crabs. Due to the fact that the big crabs spawn 3 smaller crabs each after dying, you should have 21 baby crabs to work with for the achievement.

Dizzy Destruction
Kill 100 enemies with spin attack


This achievement honestly wasn't too hard for me. Unlocked it fairly early on. Just try to utilize your spin attack early on in the game as the difficulty and enemies are easier. Use your spin attack especially on the fly-type enemies as they are typically a one-hit kill.

Power Shopper
Visit all shops in the Square


In the level The Square, all you have to do is visit all of the shops. Here is a list of the shops and their hours:

Costume Ball: 5pm - 8pm
Cinema: 12pm - 3pm
Madame Coffman's Risky Burlesque: 8pm - 11pm
Pawn Shop: 8am - 11am
The Jazz Rooster: 11pm - 2am

In order to complete this achievement, YOU MUST BUY THE TRUMPET LAST! If you spend the money on the trumpet right away, the mask will not respawn and you cannot gain access to the other shops.

Just begin the level by traveling to the alley and picking up the mask. Visit the costume ball and collect the money. Spend the money on either the cinema or the burlesque, but NOT the pawn shop. Now, the mask should respawn back in the alley and you should be able to collect the money again and now visit either the the cinema or the burlesque again. Finally, the mask should respawn and now you can complete the mission by buying the trumpet at the pawn shop and visiting The Jazz Rooster.

Flail-o-rama
Beat Zombie Guidance Counselor without using Voodoo Powers


This achievement was annoying, but it only took me around 15 minutes max. UTILIZE YOUR SPIN ATTACK! Mash the spin attack as the monsters get close to the orb. Just make sure you keep a good distance between the enemies and the orb as the hit box between the two seems a bit finicky. Oh, and of course, NO VOODOO POWERS!

Head Games
Kill monsters with a head slam from above 50 feet


For this achievement, the prime locations are either The Docks or The Square as there is a large over-hanging walkway or a large tower. This might take you a couple of tries, but you just have to position yourself over the frog enemies in either level and the head slam will be a one-hit kill.

Vince: Destroyer of Worlds
Kill 1000 enemies with Voodoo Powers


This is the mother-of-all achievements for this game. As you must kill 1000 enemies with Voodoo Powers, this can be a grind. You have really two options:

Play through the game multiple times

OR

Go to the House of Mirrors and start the boss fight. In the final wave of the fight, 7 big crabs will spawn. Once you kill those crabs, 21 baby crabs will spawn from those bigger crabs. If you kill the entire wave using Voodoo Powers, you will kill 28 enemies. Once you have defeated that wave, DO NOT ATTACK THE BOSS! IF YOU DO NOT ATTACK HIM, HE WILL RELEASE ANOTHER WAVE OF THE CRABS ONCE MORE! Therefore, you can keep killing the crabs and having them respawn for as long as you want. The crabs drop a constant supply of health and beads so you will never have to worry.
