- Whenever you start a round, you'll always start at the top of the screen, as far as possible from the center, before drifting downward. Holding down Space on your keyboard, A on your gamepad, or LMB on your mouse will force you back up. You'll want to stay as far away from the center as possible.

- While you do score points for close-calls, you should probably avoid going for them if you're just starting out - although it's generally pretty easy to get one on the first meteor that comes through if you hang around in the second-closest ring.

- There's a gradient effect near the edges of the screen that shows where the next meteors will come down - make note of these.

- You'll move faster around the play field if you're closer to the center, which you can use to avoid/dodge some meteors.

- You'll notice that there's four rings around the center, and the game notifies you when you move from one area into the next. The closer you are to the center (depending on which ring you're in), the faster you'll score points.

- It is possible to score points for having multiple close calls with the same asteroid. (Could just be a bug I encountered - but it's still something noteworthy.)

- It is possible to "grind" against the border of the play field, but you will not gain points for doing so.
