"Survive a dog attack"
You can’t gain this achievement by shooting a dog. You have to let the dog jump on you and kill it by snapping its neck. The easiest place to do this is on the “All Ghillied Up” mission, at the first set of guards. Just alert the guards, then a group of 3 dogs will come running at you. Just let one jump on you, and if you fail then restart from last checkpoint.

"Complete the cargo ship mockup in less than 20 seconds"
Complete the test course in less than 20 seconds on the “F.N.G.” training mission. You don’t have to physically complete the course in less than 20 seconds; your accuracy bonus will be subtracted from your time to give you a final time. Use the gun you’re told to use for the first 3 targets, then switch to your pistol to improve your accuracy. The only time you shouldn’t be sprinting is when you are shooting the targets. Never try to reload, it slows you down; always switch weapons. You have as many attempts as you wish, so go through the course slowly until you have memorized where you have to throw flash grenades, as well as where targets pop up, and you should have this achievement in a few attempts.

"Save Pvt. Roycewicz on the stairs"
On the “The Bog” mission, you will be instructed to head upstairs with Roycewicz after you have entered the building with night vision enabled. At the landing, Roycewicz will be attacked by an enemy. Simply kill this enemy in any way you wish, and you should get this achievement, so long as Roycewicz stays alive.

"Save the farmer"
This is done on the “Hunted” mission. When you first come to a building, you should look out the windows and see a farmer being harassed by 3 enemies. To get this achievement, all you have to do is kill the enemies that are harassing him. NOTE: You MUST wait until Price gives the order to get rid of them, or you will not get the achievement.

"Kill 5 enemies with one shot while in the AC-130 gunship"
This is done the “Death from Above” mission. Scout the area with the 40mm gun, then switch to the 25mm gun when you see a group to confirm that it there are 5 enemies in it. Switch to the 105mm gun, and blast the group. You have to lead the group, as it takes time to reach the ground, but you don’t need to lead by much. You should get this achievement instantly.

"Complete 'All Ghillied Up' without alerting any enemies"
As this says, you must complete the level without alerting any enemies, on any difficulty. When you get to the first choice as you are standing next to the house, let him pass. At the second choice, when you have just taken out the patrol in the church tower, either option is fine. At the third choice, wait behind the bulldozer, and take out both enemies as they walk past you. From there, just be careful with the rest of the level, and you should be good to go.

"Stab an injured crawling enemy"
Simply find an enemy, take out your pistol and shoot at his feet or legs until he goes down and is crawling. Then quickly go up and stab him with your knife to get this achievement.

"Kill an enemy while blinded by a flashbang in the single player campaign"
Easiest to do on the Recruit difficulty on the “Crew Expendable” mission. After your team takes out the enemies in the captains room, head down the stairs before they do. There should be a drunken enemy at the end of the hallway. Aim at him, throw a flash grenade out, and shoot at him. If you manage to just take him off his feet, then shoot at the floor as well before your blindness goes away.

"Kill 2 enemies by blowing up a car in the single player campaign"
Easiest to do on the mission “Death from Above”. Simply find a group of 2 enemies by an intact vehicle, and then blow the vehicle up, killing the enemies.

"Shoot down an enemy helicopter with an RPG in the single player campaign"
Easiest to do on the “War Pig” mission on the Recruit difficulty. Make your way to the container to the right of the bus. Grab the RPG’s on the other side of it, then simply aim at a helicopter and shoot it. For good measure, take out both helicopters.
TIP: Look at the Fly Swatter achievement to knock out two achievements at once.

"Kill 4 enemies in a row with headshots in the single player campaign"
Easiest to do on the “War Pig” mission on the Recruit difficulty. After you take a right at the end of the road and head down a new road, there will be a bunch of enemies. Camp out at a spot where you can see enemies (preferably in a building) clearly, as they will continue to spawn so long as you don’t move up.

"Kill 3 enemies in a row with your knife in the single player campaign"
Easiest to do on the “Crew Expendable” mission on the Recruit difficulty in the same spot as the “Daredevil” achievement. Quickly run to the drunken enemy at the end of the hallway and knife him before your teammates shoot him. Run into the quarters and knife both of the sleeping enemies to get this achievement.

These achievements are new and exclusive to the remastered version of Modern Warfare only.

"Get a kill with each type of handheld gun, explosive and launcher in the single player campaign."

Pistols:

• USP45 SD: Starting weapon in mission “Crew Expendable”.
  
• M9: Starting weapon in mission “Charlie Don’t Surf”.
  
• USP45: Check the table in first room with enemies in “Charlie Don’t Surf”.
  
• M1911: Starting weapon in mission “Hunted”.
  
• Desert Eagle: See trophy Desert Storm. An enemy in mission “Crew expendable” has it.

Submachine Guns:

• Mini-Uzi : Many enemies drop it throughout the story.
  
• MP5: Many enemies drop it throughout the story.
  
• MP5 SD: Starting weapon in mission “Crew Expendable”.
  
• AK-74u: Enemies in mission “Charlie Don’t Surf” can drop it.
  
• P90 SD: In mission “All Ghillied Up” after you crouch past the tanks and infantry you must kill some enemies. Then you come to an area with lots of containers. One enemy here has the weapon.
  
• P90: Enemies in mission “Mile High Club” can drop it.
  
• Scorpion: Enemies in mission “Blackout” can drop it.

Assault Rifles:

• AK-47: Dropped by lots of enemies throughout the story.
  
• M4A1 SOPMOD: Starting weapon in “Blackout”.
  
• G3: In mission “Blackout” some enemies can drop it.
  
• M4A1: Starting weapon in mission “Charlie Don’t Surf”.
  
• M16: In mission “War Pig” it is rarely dropped by teammates.
  
• G36: In mission “The Hunted” some enemies can drop it.

Shotguns:

• W1200: Found multiple times throughout the story. Can also be dropped by enemies. In mission “Charlie Don’t Surf” it can be picked up from the table in the first room.
  
• M1014: In mission “Hunted” the first enemy will drop it. Also found in many places throughout the story.

Light Machine Guns:

• M249 SAW: Starting weapon in mission “Heat”.
  
• RPD: In mission “Safehouse” check the table near intel #18.
  
• M60 E4: In mission “Game Over” one of the enemies on the first bridge has it.

Sniper Rifles:

• Dragunov: Found very often throughout the story. Enemies also drop it. In mission “Charlie Don’t Surf” it’s on the table in the first room.
  
• M21 Silenced: Starting weapon in mission “Blackout”.
  
• Barrett Cal.50: Starting Weapon in ‘One Shot, One Kill”.
  
• M21: You get it in mission “One Shot, One Kill” after the initial sniper sequence.
  
• R700: Starting weapon in mission “The Sins of the Father”.

Explosives:

• Flashbang: Part of starting equipment (most missions).
  
• Grenade: Part of your starting equipment (most missions).
  
• C4: Starting equipment in several missions.
  
• M203 Grenade Launcher: Starting weapon in mission “War Pig”.
  
• Claymore: Starting equipment in several missions. You also have to put up claymores as part of the story in “One Shot, One Kill”.
  
• GP-25 Grenade Launcher: Dropped by several enemies throughout the story. E.g. in first area of mission “All In”.

Launchers:

• RPG7: Many enemies throughout the game have these rocket launchers. Also see trophy ‘Flyswatter’ for fixed location.
  
• Javelin: In mission “The Bog” you pick it up as part of the story.
  
• Stinger: In mission “The Hunted” you pick it up as part of the story.

"Destroy 8 enemy helicopters in 'Heat'."
This achievement is split across two separate parts of the mission. During the first section, Price will tell you to get to the minigun in the crashed helicopter by the church. You will be able to shoot down 5 helicopters here. Later in the mission, you will be approaching a farm when 3 helicopters will approach from behind. Grab the 3 rocket launchers quickly at the fence and shoot them down left to right.

"Find the Desert Eagle in 'Crew Expendable' and kill 5 enemies with it."
Halfway through the mission (objective: secure the package) you go through a corridor and get attacked by several enemies. After that your team throws a flashbang into the next room and kills the enemies for you (there’s also an intel computer in the area). In that same area there’s a guy hiding behind a container. He always has a Desert Eagle. Just run around the side of the area to find him. Eliminate him, pick up his gun and then kill 5 enemies with it in the next encounter.

"Complete any level using only the knife to kill enemies."
This is best done in the second mission “Crew Expendable”. It’s a very easy and short mission. Can be combined with “Retro Shooter” trophy.

"Find and use the hidden cache in 'Heat'."
At the very beginning of the mission, you'll notice a church in front of you. You'll be asked to hold your position alongside a hillside, but instead go upstairs in the building to find the hidden cache of RPGs. As soon as you waste all of the RPG ammo this will unlock.

"Kill all 4 tanks on the overpass with the Javelin missile in 'The Bog'."
In the mission “The Bog” you come to a part where you must pick up a Javelin missile launcher to destroy some tanks. This trophy will more than likely come without trying. Just destroy all 4 tanks with Javelin to destroy them.

"Complete any level without reloading your weapon (excluding 'The Coup' and 'Aftermath')."
This is best done in the second mission “Crew Expendable”. It’s a very easy and short mission. Use only your knife, no firearms at all! Can be combined nicely with “Master Ninja” trophy.

"Beat IW best time on the Ship Training course in 'F.N.G.' (15.1 sec)."
Just after meeting Captain Price for the first time, you will run a training course. You can attempt this as many times as you need. This achievement will require lots of practice and a little bit of memorization. Remember to have accurate shooting so you can deduct an accuracy bonus of 3 seconds off of your final time!

"Alert the enemy helicopter in 'All Ghillied Up' and take it down."
After killing the first group of enemies in this mission you will come to a church. Take out the guards and grab a stinger missile from inside the church. Exit via the backdoor and a helicopter will soon arrive. Shoot the stinger at the helicopter. Now quickly run back inside and grab yet another stinger. Shoot the helicopter a second time to destroy it.
This can be very tricky on Veteran difficulty cause the helicopter kills you instantly. Try it on the lowest difficulty if you run into any problems.

"Kill at least 3 rappelling enemies in a single rope."
At the end of “One Shot, One Kill” lots of helicopters will arrive. From the helicopter some enemies will rappel down a rope. Kill 3 or more that use the same rope.

"Kill 20 enemies with explosives in a single level."
There’s a good chance you’ll get this without trying. I just used lots of grenades, RPGs and grenade launcher attachments and it unlocked naturally. Alternatively, the helicopter in Shock in Awe has an explosive turret and you can easily unlock it in this level.

"Kill 20 attack dogs with a knife."
The mission “All Ghillied Up” is good for farming this. Let the first 2 enemies spot you and 3 dogs will spawn. Kill them with your knife and then kill yourself with a grenade. Farm at this spot until you have 20 knife kills.

Complete the single-player campaign on ANY difficulty to earn the following achievements.
TIP: Complete the campaign on veteran the first time to earn twice as many achievements.

"Infiltrate a cargo ship"
Complete the “Crew Expendable” mission on any difficulty.

"Complete 'F.N.G.'"
Complete the training mission, “F.N.G.”

"Kill the power"
Complete the “Blackout” mission on any difficulty.

"Protect 'War Pig', the Abrams tank"
Complete the “War Pig” mission on any difficulty.

"Operate an AC-130 gun ship"
Complete the “Death from Above” mission on any difficulty.

"Find Al-Asad's safehouse"
Complete the “Safehouse” mission on any difficulty.

"Carry Cpt. MacMillian to safety"
Complete the “One Shot, One Kill” mission on any difficulty.

"Corner Zakhaev's Son"
Complete the “The Sins of the Father” on any difficulty.

"Complete the game on any difficulty"
Complete the single-player game on any difficulty. You do not have to complete the epilogue to gain this achievement.

Complete the single-player campaign on Veteran difficulty to earn the following achievements.

Tips: Play the mission on recruit until you learn all of the enemies' movements. Watch this video. Memorize all of the player's movements. Most importantly, don't give up!

"Kill Makarov and complete your mission"
At the beginning of the mission "One Shot, One Kill", you must use the sniper to shoot Imran Zachaev and then immediately assassinate Vladimir Makarov. He is located in the driver's seat of a Jeep on the left side of the convoy. You must do it fast or else you will need to restart from the last checkpoint! If you accidentally shoot Yuri in the back seat of the Jeep, the mission will restart due to friendly fire.
