Everquest messed up when they made everything quick xD -- It is one game we'll never get back.

I wish EQ could go back to the scare factor that it had when I first started playing it had before any of the expansions came out.

So sad what the IP came to. They tried to make EQ3 to compete with WoW but it fell through so they tried EQNext which was wildly different and too ambitious... that failed... had they produced a solid sequel with cross platform functionality like FFXI showed them, as was their mistake with EQOA on PS2, and they could have learned from it, but it was never to be. People were hungry for a WoW sort of MMO on PS3 at one point and they could have recreated Norrath, shored up both communities by tying them together. How i wish they had done that.

I disagree. What they need to do is recreate the entire game with new graphics on a new, optimized engine, and all players start out with nothing. Then they need to charge $30 for it base and not have Pay to Win mechanics or Pay to Unlock item slots or any in game cash item. They will not do this, obviously. Nor will they do what you suggest. They will milk it till the profits dip below upkeep, then shut it down baby.

What they need to do is create the Original EQ with a new graphics engine, but make the very same game...Allowing people to move their accounts over. Some new content and new gear! that's what needs to be done.
