Opis
The German castle of Wartburg is one which is representative of the Bavarian castles which dot the south German countryside. It was built from 1068 onwards in a feudal fiefdom, and served as the residence for Martin Luther following his excommunication from the Catholic faith. Ingame, Warburg contains a pre-built Great Work of Writing and provides +3 Happiness, while it requires Chivalry.
The pre-build Great Work is Martin Luther's Ninety-Five Theses

Requires the Brave New World expansion pack, and credit to co-author Sukritact for the icon.

is there any way to download the G&K version?

So it's essentially the Parthenon although one could argue that this probably worse seeing as the extra 2 culture gained from the parthenon is more useful than the meager 3 happiness this gives instead. That and it's farther down the tech tree, thus costing 150 more hammers. A free castle would benefit this a lot I think.

I'm German and it bugs me that the people think everything in Germany is Bavarian. Bavaria is just one of many German regions/federal states.
The Wartburg is a castles in Central Germany, in the federal state Thüringen and not in the south. She belongs to the UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE. Ah yes, i do not eat sauerkraut and in my region no one wears lederhosen.

Thanks for this one, too. This really is an important place for German history.
But Schakal is right, its the Ludowings (hope this is the right translation for Ludowinger) who built the castle and the Wettins who conquered it. Both aren't Bavarians even if Wettin had some impact on Bavarias history - but as ancestors of the Windsor Family they had impact almost everywhere.
Maybe you should consider giving a free hospital (cf. Saint Elizabeth of Hugary [en.wikipedia.org] ) and reduce happiness?

Updated to BNW - now provides a Free Great Work of Writing instead of a free Social Policy

I like this one, although I agree with the others that it should provide a free castle.
