Intro
Want to know how to rankup? Want to know how to be better in CS? Well, this guide is for you.
Setting up an equipment
To start with, every good gamer needs a good equipment. It belongs to you what mouse, keyboard and other to choose, but here are some tips how to configure them for better gaming.

Keyboard: You don't need really to set it up, just place it on a table or wherever for a pleasant gaming. Mechanical keyboards would be the best deal you can make.

Headphones: First of all, you need a pair of headphones which have microphone so you can talk with your mates in-game. You can also buy a microphone independent of headphones, that's not a bad idea, but I prefer it on headset. Then, you should download a program from a brand your headset is, to set up the equalizer. There are some console commands in the game, but better set it up for everything, not only for CS. I'm using Logitech G430 7.1 headset and here are my options of equalizer on the picture, so set it for the best sound.

Mouse: This is the key thing in CS:GO.
Setting up sensitivity: First, put the Windows sensitivity to 6/11 in mouse options.
(Turn off 'Enhance pointer precision' , it's useless).
Next, go in game, practice with sensitivities and lower if it's too fast, or raise if it's too low to move, and find one that suits you.
Then also download a program from your mouse developer to customize it for the best gaming. I'm using SteelSeries Rival 100, and I really recommend it for any FPS game. Here are my settings.

In-game Settings
In-game settings include: crosshair, viewmodel, hud, binds etc..
Crosshair: It's up to you to figure out which one you'll use, but you can find also on internet crosshair's from pro-players like s1mple etc. and can help with figuring out.
Binds: Visit csgobindsgenerator.com site and there generate custom binds which are good for you and copy them in autoexec.cfg or config file.
Here are also maps on which you can customize crosshair and viewmodel without going with a random copy from somewhere.

Practice
You just can't sit and play CS:GO for one night and reach The Global Elite. You need a lot of practice and patience to get what you need.
Shooting: To start with, I suggest some maps from workshop, like "Aim_Botz" or "Fast Aim and Reflex Training".

On the first map you have bunch of settings to set, like how many bots will be on the map, will they move, you can choose any weapon or set up some crates and boxes to make it harder to kill a bot. It's not a bad map for the beginning.
Second map is good for a reaction time and getting fast kills.

Recoil Management: Thanks to Mr. uLLeticaL™ who made this map ("Recoil Master"), it gives you spray pattern of all the rifles in the game and you can practice it every day until you stay in front of wall and do the same without help.
You can see that those practice maps are worth something because ScreaM has tested it!

Grenades: Grenades play a big role in CS:GO, you really should know how, where and when to throw what grenade to have a bigger chance of defeating an enemy. There are bunch of videos on YouTube showing you the best smokes, flashes, mollies for all of the maps, so go and find it!

REMEMBER: Don't ever play on official Valve servers, they are cancerous, every single casual/deathmatch game has at least one cheater, so avoid it bros.

Keeping calm
So, you are in a situation where enemies are advancing, 15:14, and you are 1 vs 2 enemy players. Now what? You will start to panic? NO. Have you ever seen a pro player in hard situations going panic or not keeping calm? In those moments people sometimes forget how to spray or to check some basic corners on the map. That's really awful! But, everything is possible. I remembered how I did a 1v5 clutch on 15:14. I said to myself, keep calm and play the game, forget about everything, get cold and PLAY! Anger and madness won't get you anything good, it will make things more worse, so stay cold, focus on the game, concentrate AND ROCK!
Friends
If you really want to go up the ladder, you need friends to play with. When you play solo, you just don't know who will you queue with, will they be boosted or some toxic players etc.
So try to pick as many friends as you can from community, some of real life friends, to practice together, make new strategies and win.
Here is an example where you can find some friends for matchmaking:

Communication
Communication is a big thing in CS:GO because it's a team playing game, you are not the only one against other opponents. So, learn to communicate, but effectively. I had a problem in lower ranks, until Master Guardian, people either did not talk or just having a broken mic, or giving false info.
While communicating, you need to be as much precise as you can be. So, if you spot an enemy in upper tunnels on Dust2, holding B site(You), don't scream ''HE IS B, HE IS COMING, THEY WILL RUSH OMGOMG, THEY WILL KILLLLL MEEEE".. Good player doesn't talk like that. Just say ''one upper b'', that's it! Be clear as much as you can be.
Also, one major thing in competitive games, never call until you see the bomb. So, 2-3 guys are trying to rush B, and you scream: "ALL B RUSH", don't do that. Those 2 or 3 guys may be rushing, but they don't have the bomb, so your guys from A site will rotate and be somewhere on mid while terrorists are approaching A site easily carrying the bomb. Major mistake! Never rotate all-in-one until you see the bomb, always stay at least one on the site.
To conclude, don't give fake info and be precise and clear.
Watch your demos
Watching your demos is an important thing where you can see if you or some of your teammates who you play with often, made some big mistake. I prefer watching lost rounds, to see where did I make the mistake while rotating, not covering some angle etc. Also, watch opponents in your demos if you think they have some good strategies for CT/T side, and save it for your gameplay.
Watch the pros
It is easier to watch the pros doing the CS things than you experimenting around. Try to analyze demos from past majors, you can download them in-game and watch, see what are some strats on different maps and try to use it in your match. I know most of the players are watching major just to get the souvenir case, but watch it to learn something, f**k the case, except if it's Cobblestone, then pray for the case and don't care for the match! xD
There are bunch of videos on YouTube about strats on the maps, throwing different nades etc.
I suggest watching FalleN from Team SK (ex-Luminosity Gaming), he has tutorials on English for different maps which are very useful!
Conclusion
These are the main tips to start with and climb upper. There are many things we can talk about, the gameplay and how it functions, I will just leave it for another guide. Hope you enjoy it, keep practicing, being calm and you know what is at the top, waiting. Happy playing!
