By Jak0by
Teammates are everything in the popular game Dead By Daylight, and they can determine whether you escape, or die. Here is a guide to possibly help you become a better teammate.

Help with Generators
If you don't know, or new to the game, Generators are objects you can find around the map you can turn on to open the exit gates. 5 non-specific generators are required to be turned on to exit through the exit gates. Doing a generator by yourself can be very slow, while doing a generator with 2 people will complete the generator twice as fast. Help out your teammates and they might help you out too!
Heal Eachother
Getting hit by the killer with their weapon brings them one step closer to, well... Death. Getting hit by the killer also leaves a blood trail they can follow (they might have the perk "Sloppy Butcher" which displays the blood trail clearer and for a longer time period.) And also your character makes a grunting sound which the killer can hear and follow to find you. So healing your teammate lets them take one more hit by the killer (besides the Hillbilly's chainsaw and 3rd stack Michael Myers) and they are harder to spot and find.
Rescue Eachother
"Ah crap, I'm stuck on a hook and my teammates won't save me!" You or a teammate might have said this and have said it for a good reason. I found out that one of the top ways that survivors die, is because their teammates won't save them! It is always worth saving your teammates, even if they give themselves to the killer. Saving your teammates from hooks or bear traps is always beneficial in some way whether it be them being able to escape or, you get more blood points! Remember, the more teammates, the more your chance of survival!
Take Hits for Eachother
What this means is when you take people off the hook and the killer comes to take them back, step in front of the survivor you just rescued so you take a hit from the killer and not them. I say this because they will be injured when they get off the hook. Even if you get hit and die, you will have made a great sacrafice for them and would be a LEGEND!!
Don't Rat Eachother Out
I know this from personal experience. I was playing a match of Dead By Daylight and at the beginning I heard the heartbeat so I knew the killer was near. I went into a closet and my teammate opened the closet so the killer saw I was inside, so he ignored the other survivor and just took me, put me into the basement and hung me on a hook. To top it off none of my teammates even tried in any way to save me. Please just don't be a jerk teammate like that and rat eachother out. The more teammates, the better! (The picture was from a later game with my friend)
Conclusion
Teammates are a vital part of surviving in Dead By Daylight. The more you have, the more your chance of winning or surviving. And as always in Dead By Daylight... Don't Die because, "Death is not an escape"

One time my teammate kept me stuck in a closet by trying to get in and I couldnt space to get out so by the time the killer came she'd hid so I was in the map "The Thompson House" (And I hid in a cabinet in the house) and the killer got a free hit on me
