In this battle, an army composed of mostly nodachis beats the odds and takes out a cavarly core.  Good news for all you nodachi lovers: this battle proves that you can have an infantry setup based around mostly nodachis and win.  I'll let Catmax give his own description of the battle:

"Oh and a little explanation as to my tactics in the no-dachi vid, some interesting maneuvering....I originally marched to meet him on the field of battle, then he circled around with his melee cav the long way around (his bow cav he left vulnerable early on so I decided to hit them with bow monks and my general, that half-way worked out, took a bunch of casualties but his bow cav was wiped out) so I put all my no-dachis in the forest to lessen his cav effectiveness. He wisely chose not to engage there and instead went for my lone cavs and general fighting by themselves 200 yards away from the main army. I had already started pulling away my general which was very vulnerable with like 10 men or so left I think, and he was slowed down because of Banzai (after the effect is over the general is weaker and moves slower for a period of time, worth mentioning to the newbies watching the video).
Luckily my opponent didn't seem to catch on to my generals vulnerability at the time and I was able to pull him behind the lines of my now advancing army that was running to meet the cav.

Anyways, everything made sense at the time and it ended up working out. And yes I love taking risks with my general, he's total melee spec, which makes him a tough motherfucker, you can mention that it's worth risking your general ONLY if he's melee specced.
More often than not he pulls through without a scratch and ends up being 2nd or 3rd on the amount of enemy units killed.....in this replay he unfortunately bit the dust himself, but I still pulled through with a decisive victory.

Very fun battle to fight, hopefully to watch as well."
