ok for you new player that have not played galaga before there is a hidden cheat or bug that not many know but here it is so enjoy

1st start the game on the 1st round of the game you must let all the bugs fly in and not fire at them when they have all came on the screen kill all of them and keep the left and right bee ships at the end of the line and avoid their attacks for about fifteen minutes and after they stop firing at you kill them and then from that point non of the ships in the game will fire at you

The old cheat was you let them pass you by 255 times.

I figured out there is a setting in the game that allows you to turn on the old more where this works, and the new mode where they fixed it in later versions of the game. I have to give props to the devs for allowing the option to have a truely faithful emulation that you can put up on your PC or your cabinet through second screen.
I do love it when the devs think of the hard core fans who want to play it, warts and all.

Have you made this work on this version of the game? Because I don't think it works on this edition.
