Each section of this guide will focus on a specific area (such as 1st Island). If some requirements are necessary to get one or more Artefact, Relic and Secret, a video will be provided on top of the section in order to help you.

This guide follows the continuity of the game (1st Island, 1st Cave, 2nd Island, etc ...). Those names will be given according to the in-game designations.

Some zones are enormous (the 2nd Cave for example). If this is the case, clear informations will be provided in the begining of the section in order to show easily identifiable waypoints, and the path to reach them. If you have any trouble understanding where the video starts, please refer to those informations in the begining of the section.

I decided to start a journal since I was assigned to the Solus Project - it's an honour to be one of the few selected to save humanity, and I want to record that. It's probably a suicide mission... but staying on Prolus is suicide anyway.

Surprisingly numb after saying goodbye to all my friends and loved ones. Perhaps it'll hit me later. I don't even feel that excited - I just feel nothing. This is one of the greatest moments in human history. I guess change is an anesthetic.

Met my new colleagues again today. I'll be working closely with Sophia. Said she's worried about leaving her family behind too and will lend an ear if I want to talk. Seems nice. She has kids though... that's a far more bitter pill to swallow.

Launch day! I guess this is it. I still haven't processed it. We all sat at the crow's nest and watched as our big shining home grew smaller and smaller. Gliese-6143-C is 15 years away - only 8 for us at near-lightspeed - and this is only the first step...

15 years Earth-time, but only 8 years for us. Time flows slower when you travel a substantial fraction of the speed of light. When I told my friends, they said it was trippy. They wanted more explanation, but we don't get much time per week. So I cut it short.

During the last Q&A broadcast for the colonies, Casey said one of the things he missed was a bar (Yeah!) and everyone in the studio applauded! I could see both Lars and Amon frowning and Lara struck something off his sheet. That question, I bet. Off-message.

There are so many things that the Terra Nova group prohibits us from saying, and it just feels wrong that everyone we want to talk to has to sign an agreement not to tell anyone what our discussions are about. Maybe Frédéric's right about them censoring us.

I saw Montserrat reading off a script Amon gave her. Apparently the next episode will feature the pioneers from all the Solus ships. When Isabella and Hatim had their episode they were't given any script... But Moon is a bit unpredictable.

OK, it's becoming like purgatory now. Sophia just keeps going on about her family and how much she misses them and I barely talk to anyone else, even though I want to. We all knew that we're never going back - why did she come ?!

I'm trying to keep my sanity by bouncing ideas with Frédéric about the possibilities of organic lifeforms on Gliese-6143-C. The rapid and extreme changes in the temperature should eliminate the possibility, and I'm curious to see how they manage to survive.

Sophia hadn't been around much, so I visited her and got a nasty surprise. She looks - and sounds - awful. I think she's on the cusp of a breakdown. She said the things she thought would keep her strong were actually the things that broke her. (Her family?)

Frédéric and I were going through the recent scans of the planet's surface. Advanced spectrographic analysis shows carbon compounds scattered along the surface, almost perfectly lining up on the areas where the suspected plant life might be.

I showed Corina our findings regarding the carbon compounds on Gliese. The image resolution of the orbiters is promising, but not good enough. We were counting the landers for this data. She said she would look into it further, though. That's something.

Okay, so this is weird: Corina mentioned seeing traces of methane. Very faint. We don't know what the source might [????]. we won't know until we land... If only the surface probes had been successful. Then we would have more data. This is weird.

We held an intervention for Sophia and she cheered up a bit. I gave her some of my cast time. She's back to work now. Shared the good news with her: we're certain there's complex plant life down there, not just microbes. She's back on board. I think.

Things are looking bright for Gliese-6143-C to become a potentiel colony it it has carbon-based plant life. If there are plants, there may also be animals larger than microbes. While everyone's celebrating these finds, Frédéric's hung up about something else.

Frédéric is still worried about the landing probes. Though it is of some concern, he's being paranoid about it. Moon chimed in and said that it might be aliens. Or that a wizard did it. The expression on Frédéric's face was pricless when she said that.

We're all so very busy so I haven't found any time to write stuff downn. I would say that we're not that far away from [???] - people onboard are really excited, but then there's Frédéric. He's freaking out about having to change the planned landing site.

Frédéric and Casey told us we have to change the landing site. Turns out that was stressing Frédéric out. Something about the rocks appears to be more jagged than our initial expectations. Fréd is bug-eyed with a thousand-yard stare now. Hope he's OK.

Everyone gathered to run the plan once more. We all look so different to 15 years ago. Bedraggled, pale, bag [???] eyes... When we land, we'll set up a base in the lander. Half of us will start gathering, while the others set up the permanent base.

Stay dry, sleep well and protect yourself during storms. Keeping well rested is vital to increasing your chances of survival. Rain or water can quickly lead to hypothermia during the night.

Be careful to not get lost. Mark locations you have been to. Avoid getting trapped due to nightfall, rising tides, storms, losing your light source and so on.

Once you have secured your environment, find a way to communicate with the outside world. Gather parts and build an impromptu transmitter. Never give up hope that you will be rescued, no matter how dire your situation.

Crafting a torch - A: Create a makeshift cutting tool using rocks. B: Cut off dry organic material. C: Wrap the material around some kind of handle. D: Apply oil to it if availabel. E: Light in on fire.

Sources of heat are key to surviving cold nights. Use your surroundings to make campfires and torches as quickly as possible. Fire provides crucial light and warmth.

All those years we spent traveling, getting to know each other, researching... All that hope... Vanished as the ship went up in flames. I don't know what happened, all I know is that everything's lost. Maria - it was for nothing. I should have called you.

I have never felt so alone in my life. I keep wandering around on this strange island, asking myself if I should try to find everyone. They deserve some sort of memorial. Half of them are probably in the sea.

Not sure what good it will do, but I'll try to establish a comms link with Prolus. The satellite probe in orbit can serve as a communication relay, but I'll have to scavenge some parts so I can send a signal from the surface. I wonder how the other ships fared.

Selected a site on top of the hill for the communication tower. A good landmark. Perhaps if someone's still alive, they'll notice it up there. If my arm wasn't broken, this would all be easier. Think the wound on my stomach is also becoming infected.

I've scavenged most parts of the ship from this island, but I haven"t found nay bodies. I know that they're all dead... yet there isn't a single corpse. Where are they? I thought the module Amon and Fred were in came down intact, too.

I've collected all the basic components to start on the communication tower. My main goal is to let people of the Prolus Colony know what happened. I've had a fire going on these last days to signal to anyone still alive. Maybe they're on other islands.

Of course it wasn't going to be that easy. Tried sending a basic emergency message, but the signal was too weak. I jumped the gun. Need to find better, proper parts so that I can boost the signal and find a way to make more sophisticated messages.

I swear I saw a light at a distant island. I rubbed my eyes red trying to see clearly. I swear something was there. I tried to signal back making reflections with a metal shard, but nothing happened. Maybe it was my imagination.

It has to be real. Keep seeing it. Light on the other island. But even if they (or it) saw my signal, they might not have understood, or had any method of signaling back... funny. This diary has truly become my confidante. Who'd have thought it.

I entered a cave to escape a storm, slipped and wrenched my leg between two rocks. Broken. Managed to make it back camp with great difficulty in twho hours. This is the end. Henriksen and I had originally planned that I would counsel half of the crew and he the other half. Though we're having problems with some of the crew refusing to attend appointments, namely Montserrat, Joachim and Frédéric.

Some of the crewmembers are experiencing strong feelings of homesickness, most notably the chemist, Sophia. However, we are not too concerned that this will negatively impact their work. Sophia's labpartner, Lata, seems to have paired up with Frédéric.

I think we should help those with severe homesickness by booking appointments, so they can properly express their feelings. More importantly, we need information on how to address the probkem. I hope it doesn't become endemic.

We're having problems with some of the crew refusing to attend appointments, namely Montserrat, Joachim and Frédéric. They all must have a reason for avoiding appointments. They aren't refusing doctor's appointments, so it might be due to some misconceptions.

I managed to convince Joachim to attend an appointment. Seems like his reasons for not attending previously were misconceptions. We're not here to psychoanalyze or criticize the crew. Our job is to help them. Not to embarrass them.

Montserrat is the most elusive member of the crew. I've heard both praise and criticism of her behaviour - only feeding herself, wandering the passages at all hours, confronting crewmates... We have to give her a script and precept for the next cast.

You'll find that some progression related achievements have had more people achieve them although they're further down the story line, which wouldn't make sense since you'd get progression based achievements in order. Yet the game was out for a significant time in early access, time in which achievements didn't work and many people just finished the game after the achievements were implemented, without going back and redoing what they had already done.

Twister
Survive a tornado

Tips-> Eventually the game will randomly generate a weather anomaly featuring one or more tornados. When this happens, make sure to be able to get into cover (cave, building). As a rule of thumb if it doesn't rain on you, then you'll be safe. Or you can go for the more risky "side running" the tornado and avoid it by cleverly moving around the map predicting its path. Only try if there is no cover around.


Dummy
Extinguish a torch in water

Tips-> Straightforward achievement. Just make sure to save before and restart or to have a lighter in your inventory. IF you do this early on you can just relight the torch the same way you did initially.


E.T. Phone Home
Start the Communication Tower

Tips-> Progression related and therefore unmissable. Is achieved on the Crossroads island.


I Made You A Mixtape
Find and pick up the music player

Tips-> Follow this guide's Crossroads section to see where to find it.


Darkest Danger
Overcome the dark encounter

Tips-> Just let yourself get hit by one of the red spikes right at the end of the Landing Cave.


Horror Dolls
Have seen the dolls that cannot be unseen

Tips-> Progression related and therefore unmissable. Achieved in the Flahspoint caves.


Illuminated Escape
Reach the island of Flashpoint

Tips-> Progression related and therefore unmissable. The description spoils it accurately.


Acid Trip
Return to the first caves after Flashpoint

Tips-> Progression related and therefore unmissable. Just head back following the Flashpoint "event". You'll achieve it once you're back in the Landing cave.


Ridiculously Courageous
Enter the Ice Path

Tips-> Progression related and therefore unmissable. Right after completing Highpoint, you'll get lead to the Ice Path in which you'll unlock this achievement.


Yeti Hunt
Enter the massive ice cavern

Tips-> Can be done on any island. Just start swimming towards the horizon in any direction you like. You can save before and reload or make sure you have something to warm you up after you get back.


This swimming pool is awful
Dip your head in acid water

Tips-> Some Flashpoint's cave's secret area contains the first reachable acid pool, but you can also just jump into the Highpoint Cave's main acid pool to get this achievement. Just make sure to either save before and load or have sufficient life reserves and a a way back when doing this.


Massive Fan
Complete Highpoint

Tips-> Progression related and therefore unmissable. Achieved after activating the Highpoint Mill.


Alien Living Room Explorer
Find the energy source

Tips-> Progression related and therefore unmissable. Achieved after getting the Energy source in the Underground Area.

Tomb Raider
Open 50 boxes

Tips-> Just keep openeing every box you find along the way, eventually you'll get this achievement. There are most likely over 100 boxes in total, so don't worry if you miss a couple.


Hoarder
Collect 75 secrets

Tips-> Use our guide to find any 75 secrets.


Teleportation Sickness
Teleport 10 times in 30 seconds

Tips-> Easy to get. Just use your teleporter 10 times in a row. No specific place needed to do this. Keep spamming the launch and teleport combo until you get the achievement.


MILSON!!!!!!1111
Find Milson

Tips-> Milson can be found on the Crossroads island near some wreckage behind the small pyramid with the switch. It's in between those small wreckage parts and a rock in some tall grass.

Alcoholic
Drink champagne 3 times

Tips-> You need to find the champagne bottle listed in the Hotspot section and drink from it three times. (Shoutout to EpicFatYoloFish for helping us figure this out)

Oh, I need this?
Hasn't picked up PDA until 5 minutes has passed

Tips-> Easy to get. Launch a new game, get out of the capsule and then just stand there for five minutes until you get the achievement.


God Almighty
Collect all secrets

Tips-> You obvisouly need to collect all secrets, yet this achievement seems to be bugged and is given to you after you get about 100 secrets. Use this guide to find any of them.


Skydiver
Fall for at least 5 seconds to your death

Tips-> Best done on the Highpoint island, just save before jumping and make sure you don't land in water. This would save you and you want to die for this achievement. Pick a tall enough spot and jump. If it wasn't 5 seconds, reload and take a higher up spot.

Odin's son
Get hit by lightning while holding a hammer

Tips-> Seems to be bugged. Some players in the community have it, but I've been struck by lightning while holding a hammer without getting the achievement. I speculate you might need to die through thunder for this to work. Tough to test as Thunder storms are a random environmental hazard. First time you encounter a scripted thunder storm is in Flashpoint island. Try it there and hope for multiple strikes until you die. If you have more info on this, let us know and we'll update the guide.

Tips-> This is how I got it, while visiting the Flashpoint island - Increase your difficulty to the highest one. Wait for a storm. Equip the hammer and wait until the thunder strikes it. After obtaining the achievement, lower your difficulty to the desired level.

Tips-> You must have the long day/night circle option disabled! (thanks to sokol64)

Fire in the hole!
Blow up a torch in H2S without getting killed

Tips-> The trick to this achievement lies in running into the H2S area with the torch, drop it and quickly run out again to get the achievement without dying. Notice though that your torch will be reduced to a single pipe and you'll need organic matter, oil and a lighter to repair it to its former glory. This can be done in any of the Highpoint Cave's secret areas with the white toxic mushrooms hanging from the ceiling. Follow our guide to find such an area.

Tips-> If you want to get the torch back without crafting another one, make a save, by sleeping for 1 hour, just before unlocking this achievement (going to any H2S area), unlock the achievement and reload your save. The torch will be back in your inventory and the achievement will stay unlocked.


Alien Cousine Conniseur
Only eat alien food 10 times in a row

Tips-> Gather up 10 green disk shaped alien food and eat them all in a row next to a water source. You'll reach dehydration and will want to fix it immediately. This achievement won't work if you drink water in between. You need to consume the 10 alien foods in a row.


Junk in the Trunk
Carry 10 pieces of Tower Pieces in your inventory

Tips-> Just delay the insertion of Tower pieces until you have 10 pieces in your inventory. You'll find 7 pices on the Crossroads island and 3 more on Flashpoint island. In order to not have a cumbersome way through the Flashpoint caverns, just avoid picking up pieces in Crossroads until you've come back from Flashpoint with the three pieces, then go around Crossroads picking up the 7 remainder pieces. After getting the achievement you can insert them all in the tower.


Hulk, Smash!
Show some love to rocks - smash 20 rocks together

Tips-> Best done in combination with the Geologist achievement below. After having 16 rocks in your inventory and gotten the Geologist achievement you can drop them all and smash 15 of those rocks. With the extra one you did to get out of the starting area you'll just have to find 4 more rocks to smash to get this achievement. Just make sure to keep one rock with you at all times to be able to smash the ones you find.

Geologist
Have 16 rocks in inventory

Tips-> Just keep picking up every rock you find. Can be done right from the start but will prove tricky with the small backpack, either way you'll have to gather those rocks over multiple areas.


Fable Hoarder
Read all stories

Tips-> As the title says - find (read) all 513 stories hidden (more or less) within the game. Obviously, this is a toughest one... I totally agree! (Crys1s).

The Messiah
Return to the Crossroad Island with an energy source

Tips-> As the title says - you need to install the last part (energy source) into the Communication Tower to trigger the ending. The energy source can be obtained from the Underground level.

Here are my notes containing the coordinates of all the photos in the game (use the soldebug command — console commands). I hope it will help anyone doing the Fable Hoarder achievement.

I noticed that the coordinates seem to very slight shift even while not moving in some areas, but that shouldn’t be a problem, at least for me it wasn’t
