History:
The British were bringing supplies, food and aid to Spain as it was under siege by France during Frances first revolution. During this time British sailors fell in love, married and had kids with Spanish ladies. Towards the end Spain was becoming neutral and ordered the British out of Spain. The British admiral ordered all the British sailors to leave and forbid the sailors wife's from accompanying their husbands to not agitate the Spanish command. On the way back to Britain the British took a unusual route to stay out of trouble and travelled against the wind with no landmarks or stars to navigate... feeling lonely, robbed and lost... the sailors then made this song.
