this worked for me and allowed me to play the game for more than 20 mins

sitting too close to the screen makes the game very disorienting but backing up from it is better, so ye

smash your face agaisnt a brick wall until both your eyes are nothing but a white and red mush then safely return to your computer and enjoy the gameplay
