Why is anyone still setting up stuff to wait for vertical sync? Just turn it off. Vertical sync does very little and has a large performance impact. The only time you would use it is IF you were getting tears, and if you are, chances are good you need to think about upgrading your card or tuning your settings.

Turn down the light intensity to 1 on compensate for brightness by upping the range. Helped alot when i was using a cheap r7 250 to the tune of about a 15-20 FPS gain.

Very informative guide, potentially very helpful to those in need of a cure for this eye-breaking error. Sorry, but I have to... Can you please alter the name of this guide to "Stopping Screen Tearing[/]"? Many thanks, sorry again - feel free to delete this comment after changing the title :)
