As always, I welcome you to a new guide from me.
First off, I hope it will help you to understand on how to change the key/button bindings of Ford Racing 3 easily.

I chose to cover the sections on how to change the controls for the keyboard, and for a controller.
In my case, the XBOX 360 Wired controller and an XBOX One Wireless controller were tested and found to be working.

Be sure to connect the controller before you start the game!
Windows has to notice that some new hardware connected to the PC!

Be sure to configure the controls before you start a race!


They key/button bindings are not configurable outside of the game (as far as I know), or I did not find the specific file for the controls yet.

Lets get you helped!

This step is pretty easy.
First of all, you have to start the game.


Then, log in to your savegame


After pressing "Enter", navigate to 'OPTIONS'


Navigate to 'CONTROLS'

Well done so far. We did it to the controls! Lets continue with changing the key bindings for the keyboard :)

After you successfully navigated to the controls, choose 'PLAYER ONE', as this is the primary player you will play in the single player mode.

This will open:
Choose the keyboard, and go on 'BUTTON MAPPING'.

Essentially, we are there! Now you can change the key bindings for your keyboard as you like!

So, essentially, you have to follow the same steps as for the keyboard.

Choose 'PLAYER ONE'

...but instead of choosing the keyboard, choose the connected controller:
Press 'ENTER' on 'BUTTON MAPPING'...

And you will see this:
